Thanks for the article and the book recommendations. My opinion about the Academics & Traders fight is:

Academics a smart people but they don’t make much money and the investors from equity markets how are less smart that they are but make hundred times more money.

  • Trading Week Outlook: December 7 - 11, 2009 [View article]
Markets will be tested by a fresh batch of economic news and will be dominated by the debate over whether the dollar's behavior signals the beginning of a turn for the greenback. Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke is in the spotlight Monday when he speaks at the Economic Club of Washington, and President Obama is expected to unveil a new plan to promote job creation Tuesday. This speaks could change the markets and need attention too,

  • Time to Flatten the Yield Curve [View article]
We are starting to see markets sell off in face of good news. Bank of America announced last days it would pay back TARP funds. After hours BAC rallied and gapped up this morning. By end of the day BAC gave all of the gains up plus some closing near its lows.

Bank Index negatively diverging, this weakness is beginning to weigh on the overall market and now we have the banks being sold in face of good news.

    charts on my intablg

    1 - Banks not confirming sp500 highs

2 - Banks began to lead downside Oct 15th

3 - Nov 1st Banks began to lag as sp500 rallied to new highs but not confirming sp500 highs.

4 - Banks participate in the recent rally to new highs.

5 - They now have formed lower highs.

In my opinion a Bank index Correction is Imminent. it’s time to came flat. Get profits. And wait next good opportunity.

    Take care

  • Apple Ends a Record Run [View article]
AAPL went on to break that 23-year old record, but with Friday's sell-off, the stock is poised to end the streak at 188 trading days. I agree in AAPL case I use check the MACD Week Charts and really we can see a Bear in control, in Google case I disagree because the weekly MACD Show us a bull control.

  • Understanding the Dollar's Reversal: Who Will Feel the Pain? [View article]
A dollar decline may actually be desirable in order to make US products more price-competitive against foreign-made products... In this way maybe we will see more dollar declines Euro and Gold valuation in 2010.
We are uncomfortable with dollar declines, and I think the US do not desire Stop the Dollar's Decline, Lets see the Fed next policy.

  • Is a Bank index Correction Imminent? [View instapost]
    see coments in linkdin

Listen, the entire US stock market
is over-valued by at least 40% by
    any objective measure of expected
    future earnings and their timing.

Expect a huge correction very soon
across the board, not just banks.

    I advise selling all stocks.

correction is logical, question is how deep and how long, and then about strength of reversal, follow charts for all answers, goodluck

your arguments are valid . Correction is definitely imminent.

even if the correction is imminent and if u are forecasting a correction in near future it would still be a good idea to keep holding your long positions if you have and sell them when index breaches your predetermined level on the downside.

Such an analysis is an intelligent attempt to catch the highs or near highs.

For all those who are talking about markets being overvalued, they may asked themselves how much did they buy in OCT-NOV 2008, when according to them markets were at attractive valuations.
