Jabulani Leffall, 33, is an award-winning journalist and writer who attended Journalism School at the University of Missouri. His work has appeared in the Financial Times of London, Dow Jones Marketwatch, The Baltimore Sun, Investor's Business Daily, Variety, CFO Magazine, Compliance Week, Black Enterprise, the Los Angeles Business Journal and the Los Angeles Daily News among other publications.
He has been a George Washington Williams Fellow for the Independent Press Association where from 2002 to 2004 he studied the effects of subprime lending on poor communities. After what happened in 2007 and 2008, he feels vindicated as a journalist and social critic for having called what was going to happen.
Mr. Leffall shored up his business knowledge with a year’s stint at Deloitte & Touche’s Los Angeles office where he worked as a senior consultant in the IT and business process risk management (controls assurance) practice.
He also contributed vital research to the 1998 book University of Missouri History Professor Robert E. Weems, which is titled "Desegregating the Dollar.”
Additionally, he has appeared numerous times on ABC World News and CNN as a commentator of business and world affairs, again pretending to know what the heck he is talking about.
Most recently Mr. Leffall was an Asia Desk Analyst, content management specialist and mergers and acquisitions correspondent with FactSet MergerStat.
He is currently an Associate Editor at Large for FactSet Estimates and Fundamentals News where he writes about the wacky predictions of equity analysts and the movements, both monetary and otherwise, of publicly traded companies.
He is also a blogger and contributing editor for IT security for Redmond Media and a host and associated producer of the Zenith Infotech-sponsored managed service provider podcasts on RCPmag.com.
He is still trying to get his Google link count game up by contributing articles periodically to numerous publications and media companies. Some are those mentioned above, while the guerilla and gorilla stuff can be found at TheSimon.com, TheRebuttal.com and most prominently on Wisebread.com, where he blogs not so much about personal finance but about the philosophies and attitudes that shape the sweet art and science.
Lastly for the part where Mr. Leffall lives: he resides in a four cornered room where he stares at candles and his mind plays tricks on him. Read his articles and blogs please lest he go completely mad.

On Wisebread my postings will pertain to the economy of life, which is all about considering personal alternatives that shape our financial world. Common Currency isn't your father's pesonal finance blog. This is mostly because when your father came of age, Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet yet but in
practice this means that you won’t get me to lying or falsely waxing about the latest, greatest mutual fund. I present ideas, scenarios and pros and cons and you should decide for yourself. But I talk a lot of yang and it's a fun read.
