But, just how many stores can one "pack onto" our interstates? I travel a lot by automobile and always enjoy lunch at CB..... but there seems be a CB located almost every 50 miles or so.... maybe they are already reaching a saturation point in expansion.... this is in the Southeastern states, don't know their situation in rest of country...... just a thought...

  • Stocks: Risk Management Back In Vogue [View article]
mmmm, I never understood the reason why a stock market "fears" wage growth! Are not we a 'consumer-based' economy? If so, why is a little more income in the hands of the consumer a bad thing? Yes, yes, I know, the supposed elephant in the room is the specter of higher rates, but any increase in rates is just a retracement to normal levels, not a bad thing at all..... especially for those like myself who hate to chase risker-yield assets to get a little more money out of my retirement funds.........

  • Buy McDonald's Before This Storm Subsides [View article]
Well spoken, TXcounselor: small business owner's enjoy a 'tax-welfare' system that most employees could only dream of: i.e. unreported cash income, writing off family insurance costs, deducting auto expense such as depreciation, etc. etc. Yet when some entity proposes the government raise something like the minimum wage all of the Neo-capitalists wail and scream "it's a "socialist" plot designed to destroy our beloved business welfare program." What a joke you types are.............

Amen, Brian: as my opinion only, I believe term-limits would be one way we could lessen the power of entrenched politicians interested only in remaining in office for the fantastic "perks" they receive.... maybe there would then be less polarization in Congress and more of a shared desire to cooperate for the general welfare of all of us? Maybe?

  • Recent Buy: Clorox [View article]
Well run company, yes, but still overvalued at 89.13. If and when the stock market 'summer crash' comes, this defensive stock will also suffer... then, good support at around 80.... sell some puts at that level for a little income... if you are willing to accept assignment at that level. Just a thought!!
