  • The Dollar Is A Lawnmower, The World Is Grass, And Emerging Markets And U.S. Multinationals Are Next [View article]
    David,

As long as Treasury and corporate bonds are interchangeable as both debt and asset, I guess we would be okay. When the rest of the world start seeing them as debts only rather than assets, all financial instruments denominated in dollar will be in big trouble.

  • Allied Nevada Is Crashing, Investors Should Continue To Avoid The Stock [View article]
    SomaBull,

If ANV tapped into the $66M roll over and hedged for a year or two, the company shouldn't have any liquidity issue until 2017. Is that right?

  • Is Gold's Knockout Punch Coming? [View article]
I listen and bought 5 AE for $1209 today. Like Greenspan, I'm most likely early but I have to take a dip at this price. When it gets to $1100, the question would be "Is time to back up the truck for Gold coming?".

  • Multiyear lows for precious metals as BOJ cranks up stimulus [View news story]
Yes, Russia is no Island. Putin needs supports from China. I think they just swapped couple of hundred billion ruble and RMB. It's not much but it's a start. I remember I was laughing at the Chinese a few years back when they started Direct Currency Trades with 4 or 5 countries in Africa. I don't recall the name of the countries and I likely wouldn't be able to find them on the map. Now, this web has expanded to Singapore, S. Korea, London, ...... and may transform into an island.

I think Putin perceives that we are drowning and he is frightened that we may reach out and grab at anything that float. He is implying that Russia will not be the straw.

  • Multiyear lows for precious metals as BOJ cranks up stimulus [View news story]
I think even Putin is frightened by our insanity. He recently stated that if the west wanted to transform the world, he would not do anything to stop it. However, he wants no part of the new world order. He also stated that the new world order is a failure and it is falling apart. He has no problem standing aside and watch us beat ourselves in the head.

Well, I just bought 5 AE for $1209. I've likely jumped the gun as always but I just can't help myself. I agree the inflection point is approaching and price will go lower too but I don't think I'll wait for $800.

Stock markets are ripping higher as deflation is the buzzword.

  • GLD: 'I Am As Mad As Hell, And I Am Not Going To Take This Anymore' [View article]
You're welcome. Another fundamental regarding PMs, my favorite online dealer (BillionDirect) recently make this announcement, "Due to a surge in market activity and manufacturer/mint delays, please anticipate possible fulfillment delays."

I have never seen this announcement before. Previous shortage announcements were alway pertained to certain coins or bars but never in such general term. Maybe it's nothing but it's a confirmation that either there is a real shortage or the dealers are trying to hold on to their stash as long as possible.

    Bob 123,

"It really is sad, as preventing people from voting is a most cowardly unpatriotic activity to be engaging in."

Some folks need to be stopped from engaging in overly patriotic activity.

"A Republican dominated Congress that is seated on January 2 will be the beginning of a new era for Mr. Gold"

Since both parties take money/order from the banksters, I really don't think a Republican dominated congress will make any difference unless if it were a Ron Paul's Tea Party dominated congress. However, I hope a Republican dominated congress will bring a fighting chance for king coal.

    fishfryer,

"The Fed will end QE like they promised. They will continue to deficit spend at the rate of a trillion per year."

How can the fed end QE and deficit spend at the same time? I thought the deficit has to be paid eventually either by taxes or borrowings.

    jupiter,

I'm not a TA expert like Avi but I can tell you why this time is a little different from a fundamental perspective. The 1970's gold bull is similar to the 2001 for the same reason - lost of confidence. In the 70's, it was due to the closing of gold window. In the 01's, it was due to easy money.

The big correction in the 70's was due to the beginning of the debt/credit backed money which stalled the collapse for 40 plus years. The big correction in 2011 was due to the beginning of 2nd London gold Pool which is indicative via the constant flow eastward. Will it last another 40 plus years? I think it's not likely unless the US would cooperate with the IMF to gradually resign the dollar as a reserve currency. If the US gave up its majority quotas and voting power in the IMF, I think gold price will fluctuate between $1100 - 1400 for another 40 plus years.

If the US continue to stall the IMF's 2010 "Reform" package, I believe the Chinese will likely use gold to force our hands. Gold price will be upward $2000 due to physical shortage.

  • Russians Make Largest Gold Purchase In 15 Years: What Does It Mean For Gold Investors? [View article]
"The US has run out of the gold necessary to maintain the Comex gold suppression scheme"

The folks who work in COMEX are psychopaths for sure but I don't think they are stupid. I think our gold are all gone on paper since the leverage but I hope we still have physical control of 4000 to 6000 tons of gold. IF COMEX lost control of the paper scheme, they will likely settle with paper rather than whatever we still have left in Ft. Knox.

  • Russians Make Largest Gold Purchase In 15 Years: What Does It Mean For Gold Investors? [View article]
"our enemies are united against us and all our friends are back stabbing traitors"

Our traditional enemies, Russia and Chinese, have been working and trading with us since Reagan and Clinton respectively. Our traditional allies have been preparing for the dollar collapse since Nixon via the creation of SDR. Reagan stalled that with debt back dollar instead of gold back dollar. Our friends once again made preparation for the eventual collapse via the creation of ECB and euro to bypass the US's iron grip on the IMF .

The 2009 financial crisis awakened the economic ignorant communists in China and Russia. They are now preparing just as our traditional allies have been doing for the past 40+ years.

Nobody, even the belligerent Russian, is trying to destroy or back stab the US. They are just simply trying to protect themselves from the inevitable epic collapse.
