3D Systems: For Experienced Speculators And Momentum Players Only [View article]
Thank you Afam...................
The high P:E would not ordinarily beckon a buy from me but with the extraordinary possibilities of 3D printing and more importantly creation, I feel compelled to own both DDD & SSYS.
The charts do show heavy resistance when either enterprise makes a new high and I have been with DDD since 26.00 a copy so I have felt the angst. I will stay with both, however, as I am a believer that they are first in this amazing (to the writer) technology.

Thank you mac......
An interesting piece for me at least...as I am so wary on the daily index effects to the equities I want to hold regardless of market gyrations (especially now with this fiscal cliff overkill). I am always looking for an option to offset the downward drift.
Quite frankly I feel options in these stocks (puts v call strategies) are simply out of my league as I am not on site where these instruments are traded.Add to that the velocity of those trades and I could be upside down in nano seconds!
Cramer's Lightning Round - Chimera Is An Unfathomable Piece Of Paper (11/20/12) [View article]
I do not understand Jim Cramer's comment on CIM as this entity was once part of NLY which Cramer seems to understand without a problem as he will rec NLY every time the name comes up.
CIM & NLY are identical in their operations as a mortgage purchase REIT with a hefty dividend.
I am not going to defend Jim Cramer but if anyone had so many equities thrown at them on a buy...sell...or hold basis and they batted .420 I would say that is pretty good hitting...but sit down and analyze and then rec. ? You had better rec better than you hit.

Jason....thank you for a comprehensive piece on LF.
While LF is priced in spec land, it is anything but with excellent fundamentals and a terrific product line.
I am long at 6.56 and 7.39. If I were looking for a dividend play I look elsewhere.Show me the price appreciation that LF can provide and I am on the right side of this trade which could very well become a long term hold on performance.
Goldman Sachs And Morgan Stanley Are Backing The Truck Up For Nokia Shares [View article]
supafoo,
Thank you for providing the actual sell rec from GS.....
The behavior of the investment banks is simply reprehensible. Throwing out a sell on NOK and then loading up after the reaction of the rec has hit is nothing new to these mutts @ GS and scores of others.
I never take the publicized "Conviction Buy"...or any other advice from duplicitous sources...it all comes down to your own dd as always. I have no position in NOK but I wish the good guys good luck.
EMC Corp: 5 Reasons To Buy This Data Storage Company [View article]
Thank you Matt,
EMC with the large piece of VMW (I thought it was 70 % but so what) certainly deserves mention and attention in any conversation on storage, however, the pain in holding EMC is the gruesome range it trades in while paying no dividend.
While I am long EMC, I am often tempted to use those funds elsewhere and return when the double promise of both equities is clearly in view.
I don't doubt for one moment the growth of storage or that these two enterprises will benefit enormously when the "time" finally arrives...
In fact VMW is the play for those who fancy themselves as chart experts or market timers...two methods that I steer away from as I am neither and have little faith in those who are.
Multiple Benefits Create Opportune Time To Buy EMC [View article]
Thank you VM...
Indeed on all fronts ! Nice piece as usual.
A part of buying and holding EMC is,of course, getting 70 % of VMW in the bargain.
Both are for the very patient LTBH investor and with EMC you do not get the angst card of swings in price with VMW.The high-low on VMW could cause sea sickness to those not convinced on your fine treatsie.
Calumet's 7.4% Growing Dividend Yield Is On My Watch List [View article]
Thank you Todd for all of your salient remarks on CLMT and those who contributed through posts.
I like the yield in CLMT and CLMT as an ongoing buy on dips or not. I am long and will add without reservation if CLMT keeps executing on all cylinders.
The short selling miscreants are busy in this space and refiners in general. Perhaps they are simply going after the run ups in CLMT, DK etc. I like both and FMC as well as they offer three different products coming out.
There is little hope for strong crude prices unless we get a blockade or worse from *those misled ruling zealots in Iran. While that action would be short lived the lower crude pricing helps the entire group as you well know.

Voodoo book keeping ? We could both take on any listed security

Best to you and please don't be fooled into joining the shorts which will only add to buy volume as they cover.

The trading range is gruesome and while I am long EMC the temptation to move on and re-visit down the road is ever present.
Frankly I do not know why EMC is mentioned in your Mission Statement.
I will say this however, your articles are extremely well written and thoughtful for the most part.
Thank you,

Great work indeed.
Don't forget CLMT & FMC both of which are getting hit today but they go higher here. CLMT a yield @ 7 % and FMC a good ag play at a reasonable price.
