I live in Thailand and I am very active in the equity investment sector here, but I am not aware of any such information exept for BANPU Coal.  The others include LANNA (Lanna Lignite), THL (Tungka Harbor), PDI (Padaeng Industry) and an unlisted Australian-owned gold mining company but these are relatively small players.  This situation does not make for a &quot;rebust&quot; and &quot;large&quot; mining sector.<br/><br/>The country continues to be a primarily agriculture-based economy and successive governments have not been able to break out of this mold and advance into high tech and heavy industries like other Asian Tiger economies have been able to do because of widespread corruption, selfishness and ineptness among its political leadership.]]>
