I am a private investor located in the United States. In the late 80s, I worked for a company that Philip Morris (now Altria) acquired. We had a chance to purchase Philip Morris stock through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (as well as receiving stock options in MO). I was so impressed with MO's management (especially on the financial side) that I have been accumulating that stock (and PM) ever since. I am long on MO and PM, as well as other strong consumer stocks that pay healthy dividends.
