I agree, I have enjoyed other nations for what they are.

I wish America, would stop trying to be like other nations and be itself. All to often the only reason the grass is greener on the other side of the road, is that we failed to take care of our own grass.

They are a simple people, and if they weren't so close to Russia, i would not have a problem living there. Might be tossed between Living in Norway and Iceland if i ever had an option to live elsewhere.

They aren't as backwards as you may think, they just don't over indulge.

    Sorry for the Rant.

    @toneguru:
    - Aside from Vacationing in the "Scandanavian" countries, have you actually spent any quality time living with its people?
All experiences below were from the 3months i spent in Norway, between Tronheim & Narvick, back in '96:
    - Quality of Food: Its all fresh, mostly cause they dont have a Wal-mart, Food-World, etc, on every street corner. The food they cook with is bought from the community farmer.
    - Quality of Air: In the communities I was in, only about 25% actually had vehicles, and those that did only drove them to the store when they had to.
    - Health: When you walk/bike/ski everywhere instead of driving, your bound to be in shape.
    - Green Energy: The only places that had Electricity were for the most part the Tourist holes. I went to the Tourist holes on weekend leave, but was out in the woods with their version of the "suburbs".
    - Literacy Rate: FYI, their community educates their children, not the Government or any Common (Rotten) Core programs.

I hope it does drop, means ill get more DRIP for my dividend.

In either case, I keep constant buys into SO, as it is my Utility and i have worked with the company in the past and it has a solid foundation.

If you are looking to make marginal trades, probably not the company for you.

If you are looking for a company with a solid foundation (internal work ethics and environment) with a solid business practice, then this stock is a good one. The dividends are a bonus to the fact.

  • PWEID.PK - Good Or Bad? [View instapost]
from all the articles i read, they dont explicitely state that but that they created the temporary symbol in lieu of the Dividen Split being processed over the 20 day grace period.

Which i deduced was that the resulting split stock will be transferred to your appropriate broker by the end of the grace period.

I would assume this is due to the status of the stock being a Pink Sheet.

I am no stock professional by no means but from the readings i have done that is my take on the matter. Trust me i want my split shares as much as anyone else, so i can do my own "dump" to reinvest the proceeds in other meaningful stocks.

Again this is a Short Stock....which by my personal definition is less than 3 month hold time. As soon as this stock is finished with the forward Divident i will be dumping it to regain original investment and then trickling the rest of it out for a profit. The gains from this stock will negate all other fees i have incurred over the last 4 months i have started investing (~ $200) and still have a overall gain in my account.

Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt suggest having this stock as a Long-term investment ( > 1yr) but for those of us that have a couple $200 to spent ever so often and get over $700 ($500 return) its not a bad thing.

After doing some research of my own. This delay in the foward split dividend is due to the same reason a company declares the dividends and 20-30 days later you receive the DRIP value. Think of the Dividend Forward Split as a DRIP. This stock will take a beating by the end of this week due to all of us selling off their shares from the Split.

I dont know about ScottTrade, but i use OptionsHouse for my trading and they have alerted me that there are SEC investigations into the stock in un-accounted for transactions.

Please read up on what "naked short sellers" are. Penny Stocks are plagued with these type of short sellers and cause most Penny stocks to fail cause of the unaccounted for shares that were sold.

I dont know who is doing it as none of know who is selling the stock and who is buying, so they can anonymously trade without really repurcussions by us, individually. The only ones that really know what is going on is the SEC or the exchange. I would suggest the Exchange knows more about the transactions than the SEC will ever know.

When will yall treat this stock as a Short Stock instead of a Long Stock?

Short Stocks as such are stocks you buy into to obtain a short gain through penny, dime, quarter increases on a daily, if not weekly, basis.

I have watched this stock go from .15 cents up to $1.35'ish and then split around $1.04.

Yes it has some shady backing, as stated by Michael, and is one reason why i am considering dumping 2/3's of my post-split stock.

If i can recover original cost plus some profit, i will be happy ;)

Your shares are "invisible" at the moment due to the way the split was declared.

Since the split was declared as a "dividend forward split" the shares to be dispersed are in holding, much like a cash dividend (payout or DRIP), and will not be available until the dispersement date.

Unfortunately, this delay has hurt us that have shares in the stock and are unable to cash out on the peaks with the additional shares. By the end of the 20 days period of "grace", the split shares should be dispersed.

Another problem which has caused the violent nature of this stock are the "naked short sellers" that are performing ad-hoc "options" strategies without an options market being available. Most of these are not investors like us that use a broker, they are the brokers themselves that have commissioned traders on the floor and so do not have the balance sheet they need to adhere to directly, like we do. These short sellers have caused stock surfers like ourselves alot of grief.

Yes it is naked short sellers, as the broker i am using cant split my stock cause of unsettled short selling. Dont tell me its not cause they are all telling me the same thing, including my friends at CBOT.

the only problem with the stock right now is that "naked short sellers" are holding the stock split from occurring. I am waiting for my 500 shares to become 1500 so i can sell for nearly 200% profit. thats 500 shares @ .383/share....after stock split that will be 1500 shares @ fair market value which is currently around .50 - .60/share. Cant imagine this was a bad penny stock for me at all.
