Pfizer's R&D: Spending vs. Productivity

Not to put toooo fine a point on it, but in regards to spending;

4.5 B annually in 2000

7.2 B annually in 2008

And you are saying that spending tripled in that time.
Perhaps poor math skills are why drugs aren't being discovered???
