Dividends & Income
I've been investing since my second child was born (Sept 1990) and I realized that they both need to go to college. Plus, there will be weddings, and someday, I will retire. Bought ABT & DELL as my first 2 stocks. I've owed as many as 33 at one time and during the tech bubble, I was managing my own portfolio of almost $1MM. The tech bubble took me down hard. Lesson learned: "Trees don't grow to the sky" and "pigs survive, hogs get slaughtered".
BTW, an investment advisor talked me out of buying Bks-A in 2000 for $55k/sh. He said, Buffet doesn't get tech and the shares are to expensive. Besides the taxes will kill you on your gains. -- ooach!
