I agree with your response, Bill. However I think that in portraying a green image you might run into the "greenwashing" issue that you mention in your post. We see ourselves as a true "green" company, we recycle plastic waste into sustainable building materials, but we find it difficult to differentiate ourselves in a market where everybody wants to wrap themselves in the green flag.

I totally agree with you TraderMark. As usual, the answers lie somewhere in the middle. We often take for granted what a great nation we live in and get caught up in partisan politics rather than focus on pragmatism. I guess you could say that the free market isn't free. Like everywhere else in our lives, there's got to be somebody there to stop the few that screw it up for everybody.

I realize our small company, Axion International (seekingalpha.com/symbo...), is way off of Cramer's radar, but I'd suggest that there's also a big market opportunity for companies that take plastic waste from landfills and recycles them into building materials for bridges, rail road ties and other structures. Curious how we do it? Check out some of the videos on our community blog at www.axih.webir.com.

Along the lines of waste-to-green, what about the use of recycled plastics to construct buildings and bridges. Certainly WM traffics in tons of plastic waste. We have an obvious bias towards this process, but I'm wondering if you've seen any mentions of it in your research.

Thanks, Brett. I'm curious, how do you see these trends effecting microcap stocks like ours trading on the OTCBB. Historically, have you been able to correlate macro trends with microcaps?

It's true, plastics are everywhere. Beyond trading plastics futures there are so many dimensions to the story of how they are made to where they end up. One of the big knocks of course is that although exceedingly useful, plastics usually end up as one of the main culprits of vast and growing landfills. That's why at Axion (AXIH) we've developed technology that takes plastics from landfills and converts into sustainable construction. We build bridges and other large structures from 100% recycled plastic products. If you're interested, check out a recent interview on CNN with our CEO James Kerstein: j.mp/8GKRGo.
Hey Vincent, thanks for the article. I'd like to add another dimension to this bio-plastics conversation. At Axion (AXIH), we take plastic waste from landfills and convert it into construction materials like rail road ties, bridges and other sustainable structures. We recently built a bridge made from 100% recycled plastics for the U.S. Army able to withstand the weight of an Abrams tank. Next we're building a railroad bridge. Our CEO, James Kerstein, was on CNN a couple of weeks back talking about our technology. If you guys are interested click here: j.mp/8GKRGo
