Thank you very much for your most valuable blog - to me. I'm in the process of finding my footing in investing for our retirement, your article couldn't have come soon enough to give me guidance to my own decision. Thanks for sharing so freely and without financial motivation. It will enable me to help friends who know even less than I do- hard to imagine. I got here from stumbling upon Martin Rice series of article on dividend investing. Lucky for me. Consider me a fan. poppy
Invesco Mortgage Capital's Quarterly Results And Recent Secondaries Underscore Importance Of Per-Share Comparisons For mREITs [View article]
Is there an easy way to wrap one's head around all the secondary and the ever increasing number of shares vs the per share earnings?
The logic of secondary is ok, but if you keep raising money, let's say, 10 mio then you give away 9 mio as div - on the surface it looks like a ponzi game to me. I know that they should give away the earnings from prior quarter...still it keeps nagging at me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm long AGNC, NLY, MFA, ARR and a few others...but now that the secondary keeps coming more and more often, from every corner, I go to bed thinking of abandoning ship.
RBS was listed twice...which one is correct? one is -7%, the other is -3%. I could look it up, but that' not the point. Please be correct to gain credibility and respect.
Reverse Mergers: Made in China, Worthless in the U.S. [View article]
Please give us also the report of how any of these 372 "suspicious" mergers have done since 2004? This article makes it sounds as if the reverse mergers are ALL shady deals. I'm not saying you said that. Just want to know the fact before I pull my money out.
