  • Asset Allocation And Rebalancing: (Still) Competitive Together [View article]
According to a recent survey by Investment News, more than 70% of advisors do not use automated portfolio rebalancing software. This software can reduce portfolio rebalance time from weeks down to minutes, automate creation of allocation models, trade restrictions and cash management.

There are a number of vendors providing this software at reasonable prices. Four of these vendors highlighted the features and benefits of their products at the Technology Tools for Today (T3) conference last week in Miami.

The vendors were Total Rebalance Expert, iRebal, Tamarac and TradeWarrior and the discussion included the best way to explain how software automation improves advisor productivity, as well as pricing and integration options. You can read a summary of the discussion here: http://wp.me/pPor1-rZ

There was an excellent discussion on asset allocation at a panel session at the MMI 2012 Fall Conference last week. You can read a summary of it here: http://wp.me/pPor1-kq
