  • Giga-Tronics Provides Upside Potential [View article]
Hope everyone took advantage of the one-day spike to short or transfer bags to new holder. Definitely a winner in that regard.

As usual it turns out they got nothing except bigger losses and lower margins. But at least they're consistent!

Huh? GIGA shot up precisely because of your article! Take a bow but don't take it as confirmation of anything except the fact that momos glance at these articles (clearly not enough time to actually read and analyze it) and react in lemming-ish fashion.

I'll bet you dollars to donuts that they'll lose interest just as quickly as the next shiny bauble appears to twinkle their eyes.

  • CorMedix's (CRMD) CEO Randy Milby on Q1 2015 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
This stock exploded out of 1.50/share but it sure looks like it's going back there. Another year (probably more) before a ruling in Germany that's then sure to be appealed?? No thanks.

Very interesting article. What about the competition? There appears to be several companies with versions of abuse-resistant opiods in the pipeline. Some are chew/snort-resistant while others ingeniously pair a release of Narcon with the opiod if someone tries to tamper with it.

Keith can make up whatever he wants and you'll apparently treat it like gospel, lol. You conveniently forget that for the previous three years they said it would become available in Dec 2014 but then they announced back in April 2014 that the assays were already available for in-house testing. Nothing came of that and nothing came of the first 4 months that sales were available (Dec - Mar 2015).

You can deny it all you want but the market is not stupid and they see what's going on (ok it is stupid but eventually - unlike some stubborn investors - it sees enough writing on the wall and figures it out).

The 'good' news for longs is that there's only a few bucks left to lose.

    See ya at the bottom.

For some reason you always try to avoid explaining why it is Pfizer paid ONVO $1M in 2012 - the only real money they've ever gotten btw - for a first-look at the 3D liver assays only to walk away and signed with Insphero instead?

Then you can try explaining the almost total absence of revenues AFTER launching the much ballyhooed 3D assays last Nov.

isn't it interesting that ONVO has started recycling old PR's? The L'Oreal revenue-less collaboration was actually first announced in 2013.

    Just sayin'

  • LiveDeal - Continued Controversy Muddies Valuation; Initiate With 'Sell' And $1.20 PT [View article]
Great article, really well documented. Unfortunately this stock has proven that the longs don't read anything and somehow manage to stay bamboozled despite quarter after quarter of posted losses. Credit LIVE though for creating the illusion of growing revenues for LiveDeal to keep them baited. All they did was buy those other crappy online businesses that no one cares about - but that had some revenues - and blend them all together. Result is that longs actually think that LiveDeal's an actual business, and one that's growing.

Coincident with their original pump to the moon gambit they started renting Yahoo's LIVE message board and launched a non-stop spam campaign, which continues to this day, that effectively squelched all public debate. All complaints to Yahoo went unanswered.

All that said it's anyone's guess when the scam finally falls apart.

As in all things short any freebies they hand out to the longs will show up in your account, as a short warrant, spin-off stock, whatever. In favor of going through with it is that this event should improve price discovery (ie- it LOOK tanks) and the residual value of LOOK.otc could soon approach OTC shell co. PYX might not fare too much better.

The downsides are that your broker will hold a minimum 2.50 per share in margin no matter how low a stock goes thus tying up a ton of capital. The other is that liquidity can become problematic. Personally I think I'll skip this part.

  • Why Looksmart Holders May Realize Less Than $1 Per Share In Value [View article]
When to cover VLTC? The fact that this went all the way to 22 should not obscure the fact that even at 9 this is still grotesquely inflated and (per Finviz) the top performing listed stock of the month (up 1,130%!) and quarter (up 830%).

We all know there is zero plausible economic rationale for the stock to be here and the weighing machine is now superseding the voting machine. It will in due course of time return from whence it came. The problem is in 'due course of time'; this is a tradeoff between htb fees and how quickly it dumps back to fair value which I estimate to be between 1.00 - 2.50. Right now VLTC needs to decay 5% a week just to break even. OTOH the rate should come down fairly quickly as the dump progresses and more and more shorts return those shares.

Technically this stock is broken. On the way up it was all blue skies for everyone. Every long was a winner and every day brought a new batch of greater fools to make yesterday's richer. Now the process is reversed and a huge overhead (ie- bagholders) is keeping a lid as their 'investment' (I use the term lightly) goals shift from getting rich to trying to save what's left of their collective asses. Every spike becomes a selling opportunity.

LOOK, otoh, is a cheap borrow but didn't run nearly as far as VLTC.

    I'm staying short both.

Excellent piece! Really well thought out. I was making the same point in a bullish SA LOOK article about the difficulty they will have raising much needed capital as an OTC instead of listed stock. They will likely get to negotiate with lenders of last resort; the so-called 'vulture' lenders bearing PIPE's with toxic convertible clauses.

This parenthetically raises an interesting issue with a similar stock; VLTC, which rocketed from 88c to 21.75 (and now 9.25) when it was revealed that Icahn took an increased stake in the company. This was further goosed along with the dubious claim that their tax NOL's were a fantastically undervalued asset. LOOK also has a stash of NOL's and yet no one's talking about monetizing them since it turns out IRS rules are very restrictive about transferring them. Consider then that VLTC is still up some 1,000% since 18 days ago and you can see the makings of a further debacle as sanity rears its ugly head.

    I'm short both.
