  • BlackBerry BBM Security Concerns [View article]
I stopped reading this dribble when you said hardly a week goes by that BlackBerry security is questioned. Get with it and be factual. Don't just write for the sake of writing.

  • BlackBerry rallies; Citron thinks shares are worth at least $15 [View news story]
Be leary. I am a BlackBerry fan. Are the shorts (citron) revving up for another attack? No news here and rising too fast. Be careful

  • 65K BlackBerry World apps come from two developers [View news story]
How much more garbage can the media dig up.? Gee, if this was a report that another phone had these 48,000 apps from one developer the stock would skyrocket. Are the other phones mostly top notch apps. Let's see. 700,000 apps, less than 1% of any quality. I think i'll go with BlackBerry, no brainer.

  • BlackBerry lower; Bloomberg, analysts speculate breakup on tap [View news story]
Odd, analyst on CBC stated this morning BlackBerry was worth $20/share just for technology, not counting cash or business. Wish Watsa or someone would do something and get it going.

  • Why BlackBerry Is Worth More Than People Think [View article]
Great article George. You can also add the 100+ patent infringements against BlackBerry. If were to go to litigation, how many Billions would. BlackBerry reap, maybe $5-15/share?

  • BlackBerry Messenger is coming to iOS and Android this summer, BlackBerry (BBRY -4.5%) announces at Live (webcast). Had this move been made 2-3 years ago, BlackBerry would've had a shot at dominating a giant mobile IM market. But now, it faces intense competition from the likes of WhatsApp, Kik, Viber, and Facebook Messenger, many of whom have 100M+ users. Nonetheless, an installed base of 60M users gives BBM a chance to make some headway. BlackBerry is also launching BBM Channels, a platform for connecting to brands and celebrities, and Thorsten Heins promises the iOS/Android versions of BBM will eventually support VoIP and screen sharing. [View news story]
What is with this "if it was done 2-3 years ago"? What if I had become a doctor? Today is today, get on with it. It is going to be very exciting with all the new innovations Berry is bringing out. A revolution is in the offing and the competition WILL take notice. Fantastic job Mr. Heins and Company.

That's odd. My personal hotmail account is through Outlook and my business email account is through outlook express and both are synced with my Z10

  • BlackBerry 10 Sales Estimates Are A Joke [View article]
I would like to comment on two items. There seems to be a lot of comments about lack of sales and line ups at AT&T stores. I picked up my Z10 on launch day in Canada (I had pre-ordered it). I asked the sales clerk how sales were. She indicated they had sold a few. A week later a colleague of mine at my office indicated she was picking hers up in a few days because they were sold out. I guess the difference is the Z10 is a professional product first and a general consumer product second, although I am surprised to notice the number of young people with Black Berries.
Secondly, I remember when Canada developed the state of the art Avro Arrow aircraft. It was way ahead of its time. The foreign competition (no names mentioned) bashed the Avro so severely that they were able to convince the Canadian government to halt the production (they had actually made a few). Oddly though, as soon as the project was trashed, the competition was knocking at the door to buy the technology. The government destroyed all planes, parts, plans and technology. I don't see BlackBerry following the same route. I feel the public will realize the quality of the Z & Q 10 and will , through sales, support BB in the market. And basically, despite the neys and yeas, that's all that matters.
