  • Cautious On Buffalo Wild Wings Into Earnings [View article]
FWIW, the new Buffalo Wild Wings in the Spokane Valley has been packed since they opened a couple of months ago. My wife and son, both crazy sports fans, loved it. This company would seem to have a long way and many new markets to go.

  • Interesting Times For All Commodities And Investments!! Chapter 37.........  [View instapost]
A great discussion here. The recent Silver Summit here in Spokane had the smallest and most downbeat attendance since the Summit began over ten years ago. The fast money crowd nowhere to be seen with only the true believers on scene. A contrary indicator in my mind. More later if anyone is interested.

  • Why Gold And Silver Prices Are Not Headed For The Stratosphere [View article]
The Dollar could lose it's reserve currency status very quickly. One possible trigger could be the inability to return Germany's gold. If the story gains traction and it comes to pass that the gold is not there, look out! It could lead to questions about the 8,100 tons we are supposed to have. The 'fed' has not been audited and we are supposed to 'believe'. When a system is based on 'belief', especially on believing a group of shadowy crooks, we are indeed on shaky ground.

That must be why my dealer, the biggest in the state, is taking orders six weeks out for silver. His place has been picked clean. Friends tell me the same thing in their regions. The mint ran out of gold for the gold eagle. No new investors.

  • Gold: A Bright Shining Lie? [View article]
There is no proof of manipulation? Read up on the Blanchard case.

In the 'Feds' minutes they discuss manipulating gold.

The CPI data is beyond ridiculous. Take out food and energy and you have low inflation. The fraudulent CPI is manipulated so the feds don't have to pay out adequate cost of living increases to Social(ist) (in)security which would break them even faster.

How do you have relative strength in gold since the 1950's which was demonetized, price controlled and made illegal to own during that time?

John, what are we going to do with you?

  • Do More Gold ETF Outflows Mean Even Lower Gold Prices Ahead? [View article]
Personally I would be concerned about the whole 'thing'. My point in asking the question was to help determine if the 'outflow' was possibly gold being delivered.

My best instincts would tell me this is a fractional reserve banking scam at best. Anything with JPMorgen associated with it has to be some kind of scam because that's what they do.

  • And GATA Battles On [View article]
GLD and SLV and others have simply vacuumed up most of the money that would usually have gone into mining stocks. Of course some of it would have gone into physical. It's just so 'convenient'. So it's slightly different this time.

Greenspan wrote "Gold and Economic Freedom' back in 1966 when he was a rising star on Wall Street with his own firm Greenspan and Co. Later on in testimony he he basically said that he was hired to run 'a fiat money system' and that such systems were inherantly unstable. He also said that congress can change this system anytime they want to...it's the same guy and he still believes everything he wrote. I think he views it all as some kind of vast game where he was the hired gun.

  • 'Greater Depression' More Bullish for Gold than 1930s [View article]
    Excellent article Jeff!

Gold stocks were the best performers during the 1930's, the US government raised the price 75% from $20 to a fixed $35 per ounce and was a guranteed buyer. This made gold mining one of the most stable business' of all. I believe it was Homestake which was the best performer, up around 650% in the decade of the 1930's. It was illegal for US citizens to aquire gold, with collectors being a small exception, all the way up to 1975. Since then gold has never traded in an actual 'free market' from day one it was being manipulated - the best analysis of this was written about in Anthony Sutton's book "the War on Gold' published in 1976. Comparisons of golds performance vs. the S&P 500 are dubious at best, stocks have been added and deleted, the market is more than likely being proped up - read the recent article from Trim Tabs - and the gold market has been continuously tweaked, the Fed's own minutes make refference to manipulation. You must also take into account the effect's of taxation on the S&P's total return over the period 1975 until now.
