    • Will Brazil Really Nationalize Oil? [view article]
Given the importance of oil and all energy to the well being of nations. The documented failure of US companies such as XOM in particular to drill for new oil and sit back and use gross profits for stock buybacks. I am in favor of nationalizing all so called energy companies. They have proven their worship of absurd profits, intent to keep oil in short supply, drag their feet on renewable energy solutions and disdain for the suffering of the citizens. When it comes to the big business mafia, energy thugs are at the top of the dung pile. I say nationalize them all! Cap salaries at $350K a year and put the citizens 1st. Aug 31 09:38 AM

Thanks for a good article. Politicians in administration after administration, democrat and republican have been destroying the nations financial security even as they pander "free" programs to the citizens and shill for their big business "contributers&quo... and political pals so they can stay in power for ever. The nation is doomed, unless we change. Jul 15 10:19 AM

With us baby boomers at the foothills of our overly publicised retirement "bubble" some writters have visions of us dying, moving into nursing homes, even downsizing or selling off vacation property and such. The consequence is less housing demand for a couple of decades. So, if one half believes this, is it a good time to buy homes for profit, or a better time to choose the sure thing and sell books and courses to the greedy? It reminds me of those who made fortunes selling supplies to the new miners during Americas gold rush era. May 11 08:26 AM

A well written article. Sometimes a very clearly written article can appear to state a bit of the obvious. This article might fall into that genre'. Mar 26 09:13 AM

I don't see a bright short term future for base metals. There is always a long lag time between national and even global economic events. With a forecasted global slowdown one would expect base metal prices to decline eventually. Of course central bank intervention to stop or slow the decent of the US dollar would have a more immediate effect. Mar 13 10:58 AM
