BlackBerry: Hold Your Nose And Buy?
The price you pay is the most important thing that matters. Ashraf has every right to change his opinion on a stock as the market offers it at varying market price. Nice article.

Research In Motion - Expect Significant Volatility Ahead Of BlackBerry 10 Release
The wild swing in after hours was a gain on the excellent earnings release number and then a plunge after the uncertainty around the service revenue going forward. Given that this is roughly 1/3 of revenues currently and an extremely high margin revenue stream, this is something significant.
As a long RIM, I've been happy with the extra margin of safety that the service revenue provides while they have been value pricing the Blackberry 7/Playbooks which are currently low margin or possibly -ve margin sales.
A loss in service revenue will see margins and total revenue slide until higher margin BB10 devices are on the market. This puts more pressure on BB10 to be an instant hit because the service revenues won't prop the numbers up for long.
I've been impressed with Heins so far and think there is a long game in the service revenue by getting overall enterprise service revenue up by having more companies take up BES10 to manage all devices including android and iOS.
Maybe they are thinking that the more individual consumer sales they get, then the companies in the BYOD work frame who won't be exclusively BB10 will be forced to upgrade to BES10 to facilitate the 3 devices
