I'm a market trader, admittedly. Similar to Jim Cramer of Mad money, I am a Street Addict, and that's where the similarities end - not including we have the same barber. I've tried many times to halt my affliction with the markets and failed. I tried creating little distractions for myself such as pretending to perform my day job, smile affixed with can-do attitude. But secretly behind my fake MS Excel spreadsheet on my monitor was my auto-update-able 15-minute time frame, candlestick variety, moving average overlay price chart of the $SPX. She's my siren call - I am hopelessly trapped by her allure. So I gave up the fight and trade the markets. You may or may not know this, but us traders add no value to mankind. Think about it, we just move money around, I don't wish this on my children. I instead tell them I am a super hero fighting crime. I fear bring your kid to work day. My feeble attempt in adding value is my writings. I love to write but am terrible at it. I hope to get better and become a published author some day. Perhaps I'll learn that my real talent is enjoying reading great writers & secretly hating them for their talents. Writers are my hero's and I hope my children gravitate towards the arts. Back to trading. I publish my trades and anyone who follows them, know they are now yours since I cannot come over to your home and manage the trade for you - as much as I'd like to do so. The internets is great but the teleportation thing still needs to be ironed out. Perhaps that is on Google's list of "Things to do". I am not selling anything and do no mentoring, though I'm sure at times I come off as preachy, unapologetic, Mr. Know-it-all-jerk, trite, banal and tedious - and that's from the people who love me. I love sharing and reading others ideas of the markets and I will make comments that perhaps a reader may not exactly like to read, I hope for the same from my posts (though of course I keep it clean) Some of the truths I strongly adhere to when it comes to the market is price & I don't trade to be right, I trade to make money.
