Not mentioning the close relationship between CIM and NLY is a big analytical oversight. Other weaknesses, too, like using PE metric.

    Try harder DK

  • Philip Morris To $100: Buy On Any Pullbacks [View article]
Another ringing endorsement without any skin in the game. How can the author justify telling us to buy when he has not bought and he no near term intention of buying? Seems hollow, at best.

For the record, I am long PM, MO, RAI.

From what I see from this series, it is a clear Buy- or maybe a Hold. Definitely not a Sell. Although, maybe I should wait until the fat lady sings.

  • Bank Of Montreal: Go North Of The Border For This 5% Yielder [View article]
I understand -and ask for correction if wrong- that Canadian banks may not grow through acquisition of other banks within Canada. Canadian banks were much more conservatively run than their US peers and, so, have solid balance sheets to use to buy American banks a la TD and Citizens. If true, there are lots of deals to be had on US regional banks. Since I am long PNC and NYB I hope they are candidates ;)
