Why should we expect rail to grab transport share to go over 50% and whom will it come from? Freight rail offers lower cost but less flexibility. If/when the economy improves wouldn't flexibility become more important?

I think freight rail is a great story and I'm long several however I want to better understand your argument.

Jay S brings up a good point. If Keystone is approved, how much would that affect the various class 1 roads? Crude has been an increasing component of their revenue. I'd like to see a risk analysis of that.

  • Why BlackBerry Is Worth A Minimum Of $20 A Share, If It Stops Bleeding [View article]
Maybe it's being prepped for a sale and maybe not.

The clue that a sale IS coming will be when Fairfax converts it debt into shares. It has no other reason to convert other than to sell.

I'm long HE for income, however I'd like them more if they'd raise their dividend. They haven't raised it in many years. Just can't add shares with that track record.

Loon the thing I worry about with technology changing so fast is the resources that BB has are limited. Apple probably spends more on R&D than BB has in sales. Particularly when you add in all the RD apples vendors does to support it. The App Gap is notable result. And BB has to support 2 operating systems. I don't see how they can compete long term with the likes of Apple and Android.
