  • Microsoft Should Break $100 Billion In Revenues In 2015  [View article]
To put that in perspective, a $10,000 investment in BlackBerry in 1999 would have earned those savvy enough to hold through 2008 a cool $28 million. Almost enough to retire on, for many people. - lol

  • Nokia X's 10 Million Pre-Orders Means Nokia Doesn't Need Microsoft  [View article]
I don't think the Nokia android can access the play store.. So apps aren't driving sales.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though

  • A Microsoft Hater Does A Full 180  [View article]
its funny how much traction the windows 8 hate got.

people in their early 60's who can barely use a PC telling me its crap! they have never used it.

Personally i never use the metro interface. straight into desktop. i think of windows 8 as a faster version of windows 7.

i did however get burned by an asus vivo tab. terrible product. replaced it very quickly. recently bought an ipad air. still think that is the best tablet (also have a nexus 7 but find the screen a touch small).

    Currently using:

Windows 8 desktop, windows 7 lappie
ipad air - next purchase a year away so not sure of replacement
samsung galaxy 4 - suspect the next phone will be a nokia with pixel view. probably later in the year.

Great years ahead for microsoft i think

Ive been using Whatsapp for at least 2 1/2 years. Never had to pay a cent. Must be cause i upgrade my phone.

Ad's will ruin it, people will just switch to another ad free messenger.

FB stock is scary at these levels IMHO. Wouldnt touch it.

  • WSJ: Apple evaluating 4.8"-6" iPhones  [View news story]
my guess - this is the only device a lot of people in asia will have. so 5.7" provides a much better experience.

Personally, im rocking a galaxy s4. i think its 4.9? love it. 5.7 is probably too big for me

  • "Nokia (NOK) has mostly nailed the design with the Lumia 925, but Windows Phone (MSFT) is holding it back," writes The Verge's Tom Warren while rating the phone 8.1/10. Warren likes the 925's aluminum build, performance, and low-light camera shots, but Windows Phone's app issues (not just in terms of availability, but also quality relative to similar iOS/Android apps) and missing features (reliable notifications, 1080p display support, etc.) remain a problem. Engadget's Mat Smith offers a similar take. Nokia exec Vesa Jutila admitted last month missing apps remains the "biggest complaint" of Lumia users; Microsoft is trying to address the problem by paying some developers $100K+ to build WP8 apps.  [View news story]
the verge is usually a lot better when talking microsoft. engadget outright hate them. as does tgdaily - those bozos have alienated everyone to the extent that they average 2 comments per article.
