  • China Becoming a 'Middle-Class' Nation [View article]
Very good article. We should speak kindly of the Chinese because they are serious and they own a large part of us. I am mostly in Chinese ETF's with a large holding in one specific Chinese stock, MR. I will pass on GM (our bellweather stock ???), Ford and some other US stocks until Washington is born again and starts operating sensibly. I am 80 years old and I don't expect to live that long but the emerging markets appear to have considerable promise in the interim. Chinese leaders seem serious whereas ours seem mostly interested in getting re-elected than anything else.

  • How Would Lehman's Liquidation Affect Its Top Holdings? [View article]
I agree with User 26737. King George III has done a job on us for eight long years. Everything he has touched has turned to nothingness or worse. Hopefully, Obama will surround himself with brainy and competent people who can extract us from the messes the King has saddled us with and lead us into prosperity and allow the nation to shine again. The damage done is so extensive that It will take a lot of doing.

  • Just What the Telcos Didn't Want to Hear [View article]
Cell phone users can contract brain tumors, kidney stones, diarreah and a host of other maladies. I think there are more cases of diahreah than brain tumors among cell phone users. Therefore, cell phone users should be cautioned to carry Immodium just in case. I'm not an MD or pHD but this is as profound as I can get.

  • Visa: Trading Transparency [View article]
schooledride, I also had 1000 shares of MA bought not far above the IPO price but after about a $20 ride an analyst suggested it was getting overpriced. I should have been deaf to him, but I sold. This time I picked up 1500 shares of V and I am now deaf to analysts' mutterings so I am hopeful V will offer some serious gains like MA did.
