I'm a retired city planner from the City of New Orleans, so never take my investment advise. I graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in Business Administration, way back in 1974. I have always been interested in economics, business, science, politics, and astronomy. I didn't develop an interest in the Internet until recently, because I could never get a payroll program that I wrote in BASIC for a computer science class in college, to print out anything but '$0'. No Bill Gates here. I live a little north of Slidell, Louisiana. I'm convinced that we are heading for an economic collapse to be caused, not by a physical oil shortage, but by rapid future oil price increases, which will greatly decrease demand for discretionary goods and services that currently employ tens of millions of people throughout the developed world. The price increase will be caused by exploding Chinese oil demand. If I was 21, and won the lottery, I would invest the money in Australia, Brazil, Chile, and China, concentrating in mining and energy companies. I would buy a nice house overlooking L.A. or outside San Diego for the great climate. I wrote a horror play set in New Orleans on Halloween. One day, I might try to sell it. I wish you all, the best of luck.
