  • Danger Zone For This Week: Apple [View article]
    Dear Mr. Trainer:

You are such a "chicken" , how does the time to reach $160. may mean anything to you, you have shortened the stock and you have all the time in the world because at the end you will have to stock back at $160. per share. You do not have your money where your mouth is. Do not preach what you can not practice. You must have some strong pull at CNBC to reappear after one year, next after one year you will say I was wrong one year ago, I bad mouthed AAPL.

  • Google Vs. Apple: Spring Of Hope, Winter Of Despair [View article]
Mr. Bryan Waters: Now you are going to tell me that GOOG is not an advertising company and it should not be evaluated like other advertising companies. Suppose that all the other big "ad" companies have vanished would you assign a P/E that wall street is asigning to other "ad" companies.

  • State-run Erdenes TT will begin this year to mine Mongolia’s West Tsankhi coal area, part of the 6.4B-ton Tavan Tolgoi basin, a turnaround in the country’s policy two years after naming Peabody Energy (BTU) and others to develop the area. As production rates increase, Erdenes may still pursue some form of partnership, as Mongolian miners have no experience producing such large quantities of coal. [View news story]
Is this reevenue will increase BTU's foreign source income and add to the "revenue" - what I am trying to say is the coal will be used by local consumers?

  • Danger Zone For This Week: Apple [View article]
When at first AAPL started to go down people pointed to Mr. Grundlach, Mr. Kass and the analysts who pointed to the "gross margin" and some people from BGsomethin. Now from nowhere comes the analysts who pegs it on Return on Invested Capital. Where was he when all the noise makers were finding faults with Apple's cash pile to the extent that Apple's management has to embark on stock buy back and dividend increase, and comparing Apple with GOOG when Goog is just another advertising company like J Walter Thompson or may be like FaceBook. If Goog's ROIC can support its P/E above 26 then Apple's ROIC above Goog can not support Apple's P/E above 15"

  • A new twist in the legal battle between AIG and BAC as a judge rules the insurer did not give up its right to sue BofA over $7B in MBS-related losses even though it unloaded the paper as part of its bailout. The FRBNY has already settled with BofA over MBS its Maiden Lane II took in from AIG as part of the rescue. [View news story]
Using common sense it is as written in the "sell" contract. If the sell contract elaborates on the point of future "gain/loss" resulting from transaction involving the MBS then any gain/loss from any future transaction would accrue to AIG and not the party who has acquired the MBS. But, anyway the gain would become taxable to the AIG and any loss would become a income deduction on AIG return.

Is this a judge like the one involved with Apple in the west coast?

  • Apple's (AAPL) stringent policies with telecom carriers - including minimum sales requirements - and the iPhone's high price and its technical needs, are preventing the company from addressing a market of 2.8B customers, research firm Asymco.com estimates. Tellingly, Apple has signed fewer than a dozen new carriers since September 2011, helping to explain the device's slowing growth and Samsung's (SSNLF.PK) increasing dominance. [View news story]
The number of "carriers" is of less significance and the more important number is the equipments that are being sold by the carriers. If "Apple" thinks that a few carriers would be better to manage, the number of iPhone, iPads, etc. to distribute through them than a multitude of "carriers" then all the power to Apple. You follow my points.

  • Apple: Too Far, Too Fast? [View article]
I am not contesting any points you have made here. The whole analysis ( as there are many ) go against how people sell anything saying that "the fund has shown so many point in last five years but past performance does not guarantee future performance" . You talk about Bollinger Band but this is all "post mortem" , God did not send you (or me ) with this "bands" you can not extrapolate this "band" to show how this "band" will look in the future. Also, in this respect you should present the "golden cross", etc. ,these are also part of the Technical analysis! You are getting my point, a corporation is a living object , you just can not freeze at one point and how it will in future. I enjoy your writing.

In my previous comment I mentioned about the law suits against BAC- have you listened to the CEO ( Chairman ) of AIG who is saying that BAC deal to settle Countrywide's case (payment of $8.5 billion) is too little, it is equivalent to a penny for every dollar. People do not any have perspective of what they are saying, what was the bookvalue of Countrywide at time of its acquisition. This kind of cases is going on and on, like the commercial of batteries! The BAC management is busy 24 hours a day on the senseless issues.

If you really want to write something for the "investors" write something about the myriad of "cases" that the States of America and Cities of America have against Bank of America? Everything else is just heresy.
