I like this study, following similar scenarios, but don't find that months broken into three parts too meaningful. I would like to see your study on days of the month combined with days of the week. E.g., the first day of every month is pretty significant given fund rebalancing and mutual fund new entries, as documented by Larry McMillan. Do you have this data? I would love to see you carry this study to this daily level.

  • Time To Consider Shorting Netflix  [View article]
Yes. NFLX is the current AAPL replacement. Investors will continue hoping and chasing it until something else becomes better. But when it drops enough to hit Sell Stops, look out!!!

  • Apple (AAPL) is working on a cheaper iPhone that could launch later this year, the WSJ reports. One source says the device could resemble the regular iPhone, but "with a different, less-expensive body." The cheapest iPhone currently sold (the 8GB iPhone 4) goes for $450 unlocked, putting it out of the reach of many emerging markets buyers, as well as some prepaid buyers in developed markets. The fact low-end Android phones sell for much less (sometimes less than $150 unlocked) has done wonders for Android's international share.  [View news story]
I am sick and tired of all the AAPL scare tactics and worry over anything somebody thinks they smell. iPhones can be gotten nearly free! My daughter upgraded our four grandgirls to iPhone 4S's for Christmas for 99 cents each! The family data plan (pronounced "day'-tuh" by the way, not datta) at $80/month did not change (AT&T). All the negative from Seeking Alpha has totally ruined the Christmas Rally, and clearly won't come back by January expiry of options. Thanks a lot!

  • As Apple (AAPL +2.7%) delivers another strong performance, Topeka's Brian White predicts the next iPhone will arrive in the May-June timeframe, and says checks indicate it will be offered in multiple screen sizes. Additional colors are also seen as a possibility. Steve Wozniak and others have been calling on Apple to offer a bigger iPhone, as the popularity of 4.5"+ Android devices such as Samsung's Galaxy S III contribute to its huge international share gains. References to a new iPhone are already turning up in Apple developer logs.  [View news story]
I agree with Woz! I am invested in AAPL stock but don't buy their products. Like the generic PC, I bought the 7" Samsung Galaxy 4G which serves as my WiFi Hotspot for mobile networking and has seamlessly replaced my Nook reader! No bugs -- if there were, they'd be fixed by auto-updates. In fact an auto-update just occurred over the weekend. Totally pleased!!!
