$ARNA's Belviq got a thumbs down by Consumer Reports and now tumbling fast! $VVUS's Qsymia still best of breed!

    • oneotherfool: I'm pretty sure this was not the conclusion they came up with LOL.

    • phemale60: Proof will be in the non-eaten pudding!! Qsymia got much going for it despite the naysayers. I like it!
      6/14/13
    • Chemist357: lol...did you not see the CR for Qsymia?
      6/14/13
    • phemale60: No, I heard nothing. This one noted Qsymia but only as an aside. Didn't trash it like Belviq. Was there one?

    • oneotherfool: Phemale60, I think he's referring to http://bit.ly/152e7UT

    • oneotherfool: Note that this was written almost a year ago. The point is CR isn't favoring any drug over the other; "Diet and exercise

    • phemale60: Thanks!! Same heading too. I never saw anything after FDA approved Qsymia; was on a cruise so missed stuff. Lost a bundle - bad timing!
      6/15/13
    • Chemist357: Yes oneotherfool link is correct, in all fairness phemale I did say sale I got out at 25...which I was happy with
      6/16/13
    • phemale60: Bundle I lost were gains - I sold most at $22 ($7 average) so did OK too, but could have sold at $31- my pal got mad when I was at ship PC
      6/16/13
    • phemale60: I am no biotech pro, but learned its best to sell right aft. FDA approv. Held on from beginning, thru adcomms. Next time I'm taking gains.
      6/16/13
    • phemale60: Now have at close to $13 and am certain $VVUS will go up further. Now that I've seen CR on Qsymia, I'm upset I sold $ARNA Fri. at loss!
      6/16/13
    • oneotherfool: The focus now is on numbers not CR's "Diet and Exercise" solution. I try my best not to "panic sell".
      6/16/13
    • ReaperLynx: I will never read a Consumer Reports again!

    • oneotherfool: Looking to see where the SP settles this week. I may shuffle things around to buy more depending on where it lands. We'll see.

    • phemale60: My friend has been making $ fairly steady with MannKind $MNKD -- I'm afraid to jump in when gone up so much -- but tempted.
      6/16/13
    • Chemist357: Been with MNKD for years, as it tanked used to avg cost down to 2.31pps. 1) bad results < 1.80 2) results good possible run to 15..good luck
      6/17/13
    • oneotherfool: I haven't done any DD on it, though I'm not touching it after it just doubled in a month. Good luck.
      6/17/13
    • phemale60: Maybe after BernankeFOMC Wed. the market will DIP then I can get in at better price! There's that plus side! ;-)
      6/17/13
    • oneotherfool: There you go, 15% drop on $MNKD. Aren't you happy you didn't jump in? Possibly missing out on a continuous run, is much better than this.
      6/18/13
    • phemale60: OMG, down 12% now; so glad I didn't buy it. I jumped in yesterday on two risky ones going up which are now tanking: $OSHWQ.PK and $KNDI - me bad
      6/18/13
    • phemale60: so, I'm the "other fool" LOL seen KNDI/OSH up so jumped on- a lesson I should've learned by now. Also KNDI is Chinese&very risky- too late!
