Got started investing with a Roth IRA in 2008, opened a brokerage in 2011, and just initiated a new brokerage at Sharebuilder in May 2013. I'm currently DRIPing and purchasing monthly the following BP,KO, MO, O, XOM, PM, VZ. Its purpose is to be my higher yielding brokerage for income here, now, today.
I try to look for companies with good value that I believe will be around for at least 10 years. I generally purchase and hold. I have sold some stuff, but have held since most of my purchases were in 2009-2010. I'm interested in learning more about investing and how to make good prudent decisions that will help grow my portfolio, and possibly retire early.
