  • Health Insurance Monopoly: Myths vs. Facts [View article]
we also thought having a gas station on every corner would mean cheaper gas. Isn't funny that they all have the same price?? Health care does not have to have a monopoly to raise prices, they just gang up together and raise them with their only regard-PROFIT.

  • Beware Lawmakers Who Don't Understand the Roots of the Financial Crisis [View article]
Beware of writers who do not think the financial people are the reason for the financial mess. Lawmakers are trying to clean up the mess the so called experts made. Watch loud mouth Cramer or the know nothings on cnbc and you will understand why we have the mess. Bankers, stockbrokers and other financial gurus did not have a clue while they were making this mess and still do not. Quit blaming incompetence on government and realize the dumb ones are in the private sector. Enron, Lehman etcc.. unemployeed can tell you.

  • Krugman Smells Victory for Healthcare [View article]
The health care system is not the problem. It is the total attitude of the american citizen that I deserve the best but do not want to pay for it. Honesty is something that we can't regulate and as long as we have 60 billion a year in false charges it doesn't make any difference what the system is. The system is not broken, it is the morals of the country that are broken.Give me a new knee, give me a new heart bypass, give me give me give me...

  • Jeffrey Immelt's Paycheck Isn't GE's Biggest Problem These Days [View article]
I probably hold more ge stock then all the writers here. I still believe it is a good company because it is involved in so many projects which will eventually help mankind. I say to anyone who doesn't like ge just get out and join your bank of america friends who called me an idiot for voting for Gore. I also know a Dr. who went back to work in er because he lost everything to Wachovia. The sob stories could go on for ever, but nothing will ever be sadder than electing a complete idiot like Bush as President. This set us back a century.

  • Some Honest Talk About Healthcare [View article]
Advertising medication in magazines and on tv is driving up the cost terribly. Stop it. Everyone who turns 65 thinks they need a new knee. Stop it. Get a cane like they used to do. Build office buildings .. large enough for a large number of specialists.Put up a Butler building and let the govt pay the costs.Hire several thousand people and assign them to states based on the number of medicare and medicaid patients they have. Pay these people bonuses for finding corruption. There are a number of things that can be done with the present system, but no one has the guts to say anything, especially politicans who care only to be reelected.
