  • 3D Systems: A Good Opportunity To Buy? [View article]
Let's put the focus in the right direction. 3D Systems and Dasty and SGLB and others have all started in 3D Manufacturing some 20 to 35 years ago. They all have solid bases in Material Added technology applied to the auto-, aerojet-, toy-, medical_, dental-, ammunitions-, etc- industries.
3D Printing is a very small portion of all that, it makes noise because it reaches small business and individual consumers.
Today's announcement that DDD is acquiring Brazilian 2 year old marketing is a great thing; 3D Printing and Manufacturing should flourish in South America with the World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games in sight.

Staples here and Canon in Japan believe in 3D Manufacturing and 3D Systems. What more could you want to prove sustained growth?

  • Today's Market: Some 3-D Printing Names Appear To Be Buys [View article]
Today, the 10th there is a spring cleaning advice by another bean counter to sell DDD; the argument is only based on analysis of price moves. It doesn't have any other justification. No consideration for overall trend and company strategies on acquisitions and staffing. I tend to believe that as soon as a new CFO is added to the board and earnings are posted that will confirm a healthy growth, especially on Added Metal Materials the $100 prediction will become reality and that will be before the end of this year. DDD is leader in most of 3D Manufacturing Applications and that includes the small part of this 3D Industry that is 3D Printing.

  • 3D printing stocks hit hard as momentum rout continues [View news story]
Time to invest or buy more, if you read what happens with an industrial engineer brain with a long time investment strategy. Right now DDD is presenting its new line of machines, a visible result of their acquisition strategy.

  • Is It Time To Buy The Dip On 3D Systems? [View article]
3D Manufacturing Industry? The point of view of an Industrial Engineer and retired manager of Computer Applications and Developments for Bechtel.

Many investors seem confused by the label “3D Printing”. It is a misnomer. Manufacturing by Material Addition (MMA) is economically challenging Machine Tooling, or Casting, or Forging; actually 3D printing is a very small fraction of MMA in the 3D Manufacturing Industry.
(Dasty), is the US Dassault holding company that has been in 3D Manufacturing from way back; and, by Material Addition apps for decades as well as 3D Systems the US front runner.
This year, GE budgeted tens of Million Dollars in developing a large MMA center; it partnered with Sigma Labs (OTCQB:SGLB); it made also acquisitions that promise to gain momentum to its role among MMA apps “team playing” leaders.
What about HP, the printing company that rocks “market players” with promises of announcements about “3D Printing” postponed from quarter to quarter? Could it be that, wise from their small penetration of the PC world after buying Compaq, HP only tries to inch its way in 3D Printing with promises that will 3D print its logo into a token piece of the large 3D Manufacturing global pie?
I think that HP with its solo traditional approach will only scratch the surface of MMA. I stay long in my 3D MMA investments in DDD, ONVO and SGLB.

  • 3D Systems: $83 Or $26? Well, $26 Becomes More And More Likely [View article]
The Industry that 3D Systems serve is 3D Manufacturing not just 3D Printing which is only a misnomer tip of the iceberg for DDD's industrial imprint.
However it is a mirage for HP that may turn to become another fiasco like buying Compaq and being unable to bring it to be "simple to learn and difficult to forget" to please the individuals and small businesses Market.

  • 3D Systems: A Merger With Either Hewlett-Packard Or Epson Is Possible [View article]
I could imagine HP buying MGI the French Company that already produces 3D Printed laminated plastic cards using a 3D Systems varnishing console sandwiched between their feeding and collecting machines. Its picture is posted in the MGI website.

  • Today's Market: 3D Printing Companies, A Buy Or Sell On Recent News? [View article]
At the HP investors conference, the CEO answer to a 3D question about HP status in that industry was: "We will have an announcement in June." That could be anything from a forecast in a far future or some other comment like: "We are working on 3D Printing short comings, i.e., speed of production" or, "we are getting into 3D Printing to produce embossed laminated plastic cards." Something like what a French company already does near Paris using a 3D System varnishing console, maybe? In the mean time DDD will start to gather income from its recently acquired companies.
XONE negative report is only due to time delays on delivering their large size expensive machines, a temporary glitch in their finances.
Volume of shares traded indicates that 3D Manufacturing is not really seriously affected; and, is only shaken a bit by the chit-chat of market players.
Maybe we should be wondering more why SGLB is going up recently without news to back it up. Something must be brewing there.

  • Stratasys To Outperform 3D Systems On Better Execution, Lower Valuation [View article]
Clearly, SSYS is a strong #2 in 3D Manufacturing; but it doesn't care about making profit; investors may invest on hope but they prefer to see profit.

  • 3D Systems Is Most Certainly A Good Buy In 2014 [View article]

  • Meet A New 3-D Printing Stock With A P/E Of 40: MGI Digital Graphic Technology [View article]
Going to MGI's French website I found this picture:
    http://bit.ly/1kCVSSJ
It looks like MGI uses a 3D Systems varnishing machine to do its 3D coating of electronic cards.
It seems to be a message under the door rather than a foot in the door approach to 3D Printing, but in 70 countries.

  • Sigma Labs: Filling In The Cracks Of 3-D Printing [View article]
It is my understanding that SGLB on process quality control uses Lasers to detect flaws and uses mathematics to assess flaws for being within tolerance.
But now with global unrest, I see a growing market for SGLB's 3D manufacturing machines to produce ammunitions, ammunitions to specs and the materials to feed their machines.

  • 3D Systems' Guidance Exceeds Estimates: Further Upside Ahead [View article]
The logic of 3D Manufacturing started more than 30 years ago; it is not a fad; its growth and spread is here to stay; 3D Systems is ~35 years old, a pioneer in 3D Manufacturing with a clear strategy and a conservative approach for growth. The numbers back up the wisdom of DDD's management and their fairness for long term investors; they hold the largest share of an expanding computer application.
Don't be lured by comments of speculators who play the Market.

  • What Can Investors Expect From Stratasys's Earnings? [View article]
I see there twisted comments misleadingly punctuated to the advantage of SSYS.
The question for investors remains: "When will SSYS report profits?" DDD did it 4 quarters in a row, you know.
