Looks like a great alternative to dirty coal. This should be a win-win for both the environmentalists and the energy providers.

Any thought of reparations for 50 years of gross over-representation in violent crime, turning many of America's cities into Fallujah. You wouldn't have the courage to tackle that. Check the FBI crime stats since 1960. But I guess we deserve this violence right? You people are sick!

  • Why Bitcoin Matters [View article]
The primary bridge that has to be crossed is the ability for banking supervisors and law enforcement to be able to trace any transactions to a verifiable and identifiable source. The minds that have created this new payment paradigm can certainly instill sfaeguards to keep it from being hijacked by persons trying to move illicit funds.

I left romper room aka Squawk Box a long time ago -- the level of juvenile behavior was amazing and truly sad for a business network to be offering. Mark Haynes, we miss you buddy!

Simple equation --bull markets drive CNBC viewership (since Kramer can con them with his ever changing stock tips) so the Money Honey would sidle up to Albert Ponzi if it meant keeping that viewer number from reaching MSNBC levels.

Did you have to blatantly offend people of faith? Dave Ramsey is fair game but why insult millions with a careless remark about our God? I am curious how you will feel about that when you are on your deathbed?

The dual use component -- fuel and feed, makes this product very exciting, cost effective and carbon limiting.

I wonder how many more months we will have to experience the CNBC mob collectively peeing on our shoes and telling us its raining. They have looked for a silver lining in every lackluster jobs release. Even Krugman has thrown in the towel on BHO-nomics but I guess Leisman, Zandi, Kernan and Sorkin will keep the flame.

I think that Larry's pained smile was the result of gas or too much guacamole on his salad. Whether it is he or Yellen, they will quickly learn that the policy (mechanical) levers available to them have had their underlying control cables cut and are of little use in an age of digital control panels that unfortunately have yet to be installed in FRB's command center. So we will see a lot of vain tugging and pushing with no resulting impact except for the helpless feeling of piloting a vessel without any form of control other than the brake.

  • Book Review: The AIG Story [View article]
Great insight David -- what Hank often forgets is that Risk Management was largely absent until 2005 when Bob Lewis was elevated to build it from scratch. No risk appetite limits, no enterprise monitoring of risk accumulations and most importantly, no one to tell Hank No! Bitter people often write books with the benefit of 20/20 but this one was also quite vitriolic. Lastly, on the bailout -- the FRB could have stepped in as the counterparty on the positions AIG insured, could have taken all the high quality collateral it wanted and we would have seen an orderly resolution of this problem. Unfortunately, financial crisis thinking is often clouded by anger, incomplete information and the fog of war.

Great insights and any prudent reader will conclude that this QE mania (like all other manias) will not end well. Japan is now doubling down on QE and I sense we will head that way too.

Shall we name the Chairman of OpenCoin -- MiniBen? Seriously, I hope the velocity of ripple can be viable as a formidable payment alternative as we need to break the bank's control over this channel of commerce.

If the Oracle of Omaha would spend less time on CNBC and proselytizing for Obamanomics he might have beat the S&P last year!
