  • Canada decides tomorrow on the fate of BHP's (BHP) Potash bid, but options traders have seemingly made up their minds already. Recent options trading in Potash (POT) suggests investors are expecting a significantly higher bid, either in the form of a sweetener from BHP or a higher bid from a rival.   [View news story]
As a shareholder a "No" tomorow would be a winner for both company sharesholders. the Pot should go higher to $165 a share , where it should be.
On the other hand BHP shareholders would not have to worry about the new billion debt.

Disclaimer i just bough both of them.

  • Microsoft Sues Salesforce, Claims Infringement on Nine Patents  [View article]
Those patents battles are getting out of hand.

I wonder did the company who invented the eyes glasses ever sued the company that was using their technology to produce sun glasses.

Did the printers company ever sue both Apple (64) and Microsoft (MS DOS) for printing stuffs on a screen.

How about the Chinese who invented printed paper.

What if we built flying car does Ford or GM has a right to sue for using their car technology.

The invention of CRM is using a cloud sharing environment similar to what Napster did years ago.

Those patents rights are killing innovations.
