It'll drop to last until they can replenish their stock. Also Nokia isn't offered on Sprint and the 920 isn't on Verizon.

  • 4 Reasons To Sell Nokia Shares Into The Recent Surge  [View article]
Even a NOK bull would be insane to not trim profits from a crazy 30% move. If you're a shorter mindset, you can profit if you caught that top. But you'll definitely see supporters buy on heavy dips.

You contradicted yourself with "I see $1.50 soon" with "Overall, the recent price move is indeed unsubstantiated until the Q4 figures come out. Until then, the stock will trade between $2.50 and $3.50".

Otherwise, you have pretty sound logic.

If true, hopes that trims your losses. My cost avg is around 2.20 before I sold blocks at 3.25, 3.38, and 3.55. Hoping to get in again.

You've been saying the exact same thing since June 4. Nokia was a good short right up to the better than expected 2012/Q2 earnings due to the unknowns. You missed the boat. While the stock is consolidating, you should rethink your position.

  • Nokia: Buying The Dips  [View article]
Buying dips/short covering and profit taking/intiate shorts always go hand in hand. And thanks, I didn't know the 5 year chart looked terrible.

This lol. It's taboo to say NOK is starting to eat into AAPL shares. You're supposed to say it's eating into RIM shares.

  • Goldman Sachs And Morgan Stanley Are Backing The Truck Up For Nokia Shares  [View article]
Here's the link to the GS sell rating note on Aug 3.
    http://bit.ly/Seyt9F

This was around when Microsoft announced it's partnership with Nokia, HTC, Samsung, Huawei.
They also predicted Windows Phone to take a 20% share of the market and Nokia 20% of that. Given those 4 companies and maybe Microsoft, Nokia was given the projection of 1/5 of that pie. That accounts from about 4-5% global share when when Window Phone hits their projection of 20% market share.

Let's note, this was before Samsung announced their Ativ S in New York (which the phone is no longer going to be released in the US), HTC 8x, Huawei delaying their release to Q1, and Microsoft cancelling the release of their Surface phone.

Given the many unknowns, I can understand GS ultra conservative outlook. Now given Nokia's recent performance, I can see why now they're picking up shares.

  • The New Nokia Lumia Range Of Devices - Has Nokia Finally Reestablished Its Premium Image?  [View article]
It's nice that you're following the rankings but you should also keep track of the price. It went from $49 to $69 now. AT&T has also announced a Black Friday special $99 to $49 with a wireless charger. So $69 (amazon) vs $49 w/ wireless charger (AT&T) for two a two day special. Amazon price is no longer competitive to AT&T's. I believe most investors (long and short) will be very interested in how well the Black Friday special will go.

  • Nokia: So, How Are Lumia 920 Sales Going?  [View article]
May I ask how long you played with the phone? Quite frankly, I think this phone is a joy to use. If you're basing your judgement on the calendar and texting, those don't exactly scream "fun".
