Mr Elderman you wrote "However I consider trading/investing purely a fool's game." Why in the world are you bothering to read articles and comment on a site dedicated to investing? Are you here simply to argue?

  • Are There Sources You Should Not Trust? [View instapost]
Hi Factoids, I enjoy reading your posts. Quick question. Your comments regarding Zacks bullishness on OHI make you send bearish yet you are long OHI. Do you intend to hold OHI long term or are you looking to exit that position soon? Thanks in advance for your reply.

  • Retirement Strategy: How Dividend Income Grows To Staggering Levels By Reinvesting And Compounding [View article]
Harm, if you could commit to setting $50 or $100 per month aside and let compounding do it's magic you will be far ahead of the game in 20 or 30 years. It doesn't need to be an either/or proposition. You can invest for both dividends and growth. This new site will let you make free market orders. That's a free $6.95 each month if you use it. http://bit.ly/1pUFsWi I wish I had started purchasing even $20 worth of stock 3 decades ago and letting compounding do it's thing. If you have that opportunity I would recommend taking it. Cheers.

  • A Few Net Lease REITs To Avoid [View article]
I was lucky enough to pick up 200 shares of OLP during the 2008/2009 market meltdown. The share price has long since doubled so I sold half and I plan to keep the other chugging along sending dividends for years to come. I also purchased O back then for under $30 a share. I'm not selling those unless they hit $60 again.
