  • The Financial Storm Nobody Is Expecting [View article]
I am a fan of Rickards too and I have read his books. And I wish I had them in front of me to refresh my memory because I recollect that when Rickards’s wrote, "…may reach the political limits of money printing.", he was referring to an exogenous shock that could cause an exodus from the bond market which the Fed would try to stop by buying more bonds which would be like throwing gasoline on a fire and which could lead to the collapse of the bond market.

You, however, are talking about a different scenario where the Fed is disallowed from purchasing bonds But Rickards never said that this would cause “the storm.” In fact, it might even prevent the step where the Fed "throws gasoline."

I agree with you that The Death of Money is a worthy read.

"Deflation is a good thing. It is only bad for the leech banking class."

    Deflation is bad for debtors.

    Wow, fantastic article!

This is exactly the kind of stuff that I am expecting to read in James Rickards' upcoming book The Death of Money. I pre-purchased my copy months ago.

    Thank you.

  • Is Home Depot Better Than Lowe's? [View article]
I like Lowes' plumbing inventory more than HD's because they seem to have more fittings, and my Lowes has a much better garden center than my HD. I say all this reluctantly because I used to be a die-hard HD fan.

  • Resources-Based ETFs Coming Back From The Dead [View article]
But if we compare VWO with SPY over ten years then the chart shows VWO still ahead of SPY and any reversion to the mean on the ten year chart looks bad for VWO.

    What's you take on that?

  • U.S. Gets Caught In The Global Crunch [View article]
I just went back and reread your article on January 17th and couldn't help but notice that your opinion about emerging markets has changed considerably since then (as have mine). It appears to me that we are in lock-step group think.

    Anyhow, I enjoyed the article.
