  • iPhone Inventory Build Bodes Ill For Apple Stock  [View article]
Do you have the numbers on Apple's watches, how many of the old watches are Apple going to eat when they release the new one? Cook didn't spend much time talking watches at all, what was your take on that?

  • Apple's Q1 Looks Certain To Disappoint  [View article]
What is truly sad is the haters are fixated on unsubstantiated bad new, Cook's on record saying that he's not seeing a reduction in demand in China, yet, folks want to believe the haters. I can't wait for earnings and put this all to rest.

Agreed, but that lightweight version you speak of also goes by the name, aluminum.

You forgot to mention that Cook's balls aren't deflated at all, furthermore, Apple has a couple hundred billion in cash, that use to be as good as money; being new to this Apple hater, why hasn't there been any discussion about Apple watches coming on strong this quarter. My son told me that once the apps are there, the sales will follow.

Lots of downside, 200 billion in cash with a market cap of 660 billion, how do you explain 'Lots", but then again, I think iPhones are going to blow the shorts out of the water, so I see upside as in new yearly highs.

  • Stratasys: Why It's A Strong Short Candidate  [View article]
It's never fun to be late to a party when you're a short, now maybe had you invited me on New Years Eve when we were trading at $83.11, I might have thought about coming to your little shin dig, at that time we were down roughly 20% from our highs. That short party picked up speed in the beginning of February, with another fancy 20% haircut, SSYS has had some cute little trims leading up to your party's invite, but haven't all the big dogs gone home, who wants to short a sick dog that's health has as good a chance of improving as the dog has of dying?

  • Alcoa's (AA) CEO Klaus Kleinfeld on Q3 2015 Results - Earnings Call Transcript  [View article]
Sold, Nov. 14 9 puts, .13 cents each, I'd be happy to accumulate more AA at that price, if not, easy money!

  • Yahoo: Aabaco Spin-Off Is A Highly Unattractive Investment  [View article]
If I'm right about the arbs coming in shorting the hell out of both stocks, back and forth; you'll be losing money while you wait. Your words about it not being a great business decision is saying it very politely.

I'd wait for BABA's earning before I got out the tissues, but if they disappoint, the arbs are taking over both stocks.

Arbitrageurs will hammer the hell our of this new company against BABA, if you have any doubts check AA and RTI, once the all stock deal was announced by AA, in came the arbs and down when both stocks. Neat as cherry pie, if you were an arb; painful as hell if you were a shareholders of either AA or RTI.
Jack Ma will not like seeing his company played with but money runners, what he does about it is anyone's guess. I'm betting, he'll be a buyer of this new company, he'll no longer have to concern himself about government involvement due to Yahoo's email.
I'm in agreement with you, buying this new company for an investment is high risk, but as a yahoo long, we're use to bumpy rides, why not wait and see what happens. I'm personally waiting for BABA to report August 12. It's interesting to note, BABA is keeping us from the dumpster today.

  • Apple Watch Volumes Are Much Better Than Slice Figures Suggest  [View article]
Or work at your job. I asked my son (26) about the Apple watch, he said in due time Dad, there will be apps that make it a must have item. Don't look at people wearing the watch to know about sales, what what apps are developed for the watch.
I'm betting the author will keep us informed when new killer apps come out, I agree with him that longs just need to relax.

  • Yahoo's NFL Deal Is A Mistake  [View article]
"As for this year, I don't know if Yahoo can strike a deal with NFL Network - it depends on the actual contract in place and I don't know if any of that information is public or readily available."

There is a lot you don't know, but that sure hasn't stopped you from writing a ridiculous article about Yahoo. I highly doubt you even follow football, nor have you ever lived on the west coast, you have no clue how many eyeballs the US will have while you discount the rest of the world as if they don't matter. This experiment was a stoke of brilliance. It can't lose. FYI, Rex Ryan just left the Jets, (another little market area) a lot of Jets fans want to see how old Rex is doing in upstate NY. Oh, yea, Buffalo happens to be Canada's team..............I know, I know, we only care about Americans. Go Yahoo!

  • Alcoa Remains Overpriced  [View article]
No, I was not suggesting that Canadians (at large) do anything other then enjoy their beautiful country. I myself try to make the Winterlude yearly (and bring my American dollars). I was suggesting that one particular Canadian covers his shorts.
While I enjoy reading articles on Seeking Alpha, I do not believe it to be "the financial community" that money managers go to. Clearly someone spent a ton of time and money building the false rumor that Klaus was going to increase last quarter's dividend. When that didn't happen, small retailers sold AA. That played right into the hands of large shorts. Those are my haters.

Clearly the aluminum commodity division of AA is suffering from oversupply (and has been for years) I believe Klaus is going to be successful transforming Alcoa so that the commodity end of the business doesn't drag down the whole company, while also taking steps to strengthen that same commodity division. I have gone to my local ford dealer to investigate the F-150, I'm a believe that that experiment is the way of the future. As you pointed out in your article, investors buy for future earnings, I'm a buyer and have been. Good luck to you, differences of opinion is what makes a market.

You are very confused, aren't you? I kind of like you admitting to your back of the envelope analysis, that is what it is. I also like how you end, your crying about the poor Canadian dollar. Well, there's a rule of thumb about the Canadian dollar, it goes something like this: watch oil closely for the Canadian dollar tracts it, it's not stronger than steel, that would be Alcoa.

Also, were do you find all this optimistic news that you claim is already built into AA's share price? Other than Klaus, I'm running into nothing but haters like yourself. You've had a nice run on the short side, but I'd be giving some thought to closing out those positions, but what do I know, I also think oil is going lower and you know what that will do to your Canadian dollar, don't you?

The only thing wrong with this stock is the corrupt FDA, it's a shame there are not criminal charges lodged against the FDA, rather than just a lawsuit.
