  • With Shares Down But Prescriptions Up, It's Time To Accumulate Amarin [View article]
28 bucks a share, wouldn't that be nice. Thanks for taking the time to write the article, I appreciate your updates. I know you don't know, but wouldn't it be nice to know how many of these prescriptions fall outside FDA's guidelines.
If I'm a doc prescribing for someone within the set guidelines, and I'm seeing that Vascepa is lowering his TG's without adversely affecting his bad cholesterol, you don't think I'd write a scrip for someone just a tab outside FDA's guidelines?

  • Yahoo! Spends Only 70 Cents To Retire $1 Worth Of Shares [View article]
Yes, I will. While Yahoo hasn't ever issued a dividend, they have promised to disperse (on a tax free basis) their holding of BABA later this year, with this reduction of outstanding shares, each existing share owns more BABA. While not exactly a dividend, it's pretty bloody close.
Also of note, Yahoo Japan (YAHOJ) market cap has increased since last earnings report, another gain for each shareholder.
Meanwhile, BABA has lost market cap, Alibaba Group is a hard company to understand for many investors, myself included; but if they hit their numbers, YHOO will take a bigger jump giving you and all other shareholder your temporary and unrealized capital gain.
Personally, when I get my BABA shares, I'm going to sell out of the money covered calls on them, since as stated, I don't follow the company that closely. That will to me be like a dividend, and if they are called, so be it!

  • Buying The Alcoa Earnings Dip [View article]
Hard to believe you're buying AA for a dividend portfolio, but I wish you'd buy more and faster. I also see value in AA, long term and have been selling puts, left and right. Then I sell covered calls. I'm going to pick up more shares today at 13.50 and maybe again at 13, unless you pick up your buying activity.

  • 3 Days To Think About Bad News [View article]
AA beat last earnings report, and Wall Street punished it the next day of which it has never recovered. When Klaus over reports again, AA will take off. IMO, AA is way oversold. I agree with you, out of the money calls will soon become in the money calls. Good Luck

It was unfortunate for F that oil hit the skids exactly when the F-150 was released, nevertheless, the F-150 was just the start of aluminum in the production of all vehicles.

Gossip-rumor,well that's pretty much the same thing in my neck of the woods; but Gregory Wasson, is a go getter, a quick study of him goes a long way and I suggest you look into the man if your going to buy RAD on any buy out bid.

  • Amarin secures $52.8M in new capital [View news story]
Here comes more short sellers, horrible funding and on the heals of a great report. It's no wonder Wall Street hates Amarin!

  • Amarin: The Peaks And Valleys Of Vascepa Sales Growth [View article]
"My best estimate of Vascepa's sales trajectory is that it is currently increasing by approximately 50 NRx per week," everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even when they are wrong.
I find it interesting that you can deduct future payouts to Kowa, yet fail to account for any sales traction by the same. Are you short Amarin?

  • What The Whisper Number Indicates For Alcoa Earnings Today [View article]
Yea right, first off, the F150 is going to sell, the drop in gas may hurt Ford's profits for they won't be able to jack up the price but that has nothing to do with the contract signed with AA. Secondly, they crushed this whisper number, reread the article.

  • Amarin: The Silence Of The Lamb [View article]
I wish John Thero would have been asked to explain exactly when he felt was or where "the point in time where the sales force is fully paying for itself." I'm not in the camp where we ditch the RI study, but just asking, without any R and D costs, would we be trading at these levels?
Very soon, Kowa's sales force should be making meaningful strides.
I just hope it's not good money after bad, but I'm a buyer at these ridiculous levels.

  • Sirius XM: Thoughts On Manipulation [View article]
"much of this article is speculation" I enjoyed every bit of it; but really, without knowing how many shares are removed from the market Dec. 1, one can't honestly speculate about forward valuation. Your double may never come, or it might come much sooner than anyone could ever dream.

  • Plumb Creek Timber Co. Inc.: The Green Energy Supplier Of The Future [View article]
I'm not sure I understand what the associated hassle is in direct ownership of woodlots. My woodlot is in Maine, I have never clear cut, nor do I ever plan on doing so. I own mostly white spruce which has a life expectancy of 35-40 years. I also own red cedar,. I've hired a forester to advise me, the cedar haven't been cut in sixty five years that I know of. I've cut once since my stewardship, I could cut at any time, for the white spruce rejuvenate in 15-20 years. The trees are like money in the bank, yet that's money that is not taxed. My travels to and from my land is a taxable event, which my accountant uses. It's my hope to leave my wood lot to my family while instilling upon them ecology. I know I've been successful with my son, however, my daughter believes all I have is a home for the biggest mosquitoes known to man, yet her husband wants to go visit the land with me. Taxes in Maine (also deductible) are ridiculous cheap as long an no cabin is on the land.
I strongly believe more retail investors should look into buying their own woodlots. Yes, there is a lot to learn, but it's a fun and rewarding process.
