  • Apple's Mac Is En Route To Dominance  [View article]
In time, more and more people and companies will figure out that owning a Mac is actually less expensive than a PC and you get much higher quality and more security. Apple provides free OS upgrades, no virus software needed, less IT support and much better resale value.

  • Can Apple Dominate The PC Market Too?  [View article]
When you crunch the numbers Macs are the best bang for the buck....better resale, no virus software needed, they come loaded with software and OS upgrades are free. I really like the look and feel too....most pc's look like junk. Maintaining windows is a lot more work and they run poorly after a few years. A six year old Macbook Pro that I easily sold on ebay last year ran like the day I bought it.

  • Will Apple Increase Its PC Market With Free OS Updates? Yes It Will  [View article]
IMHO after 25 years of experience in using Apple and Microsoft products, Apple products provide much more bang for the buck. Initial cost is higher, but when you look at what you get, Apple products are less expensive to own in the long run while providing BMW quality.

    1. Apple computers ship with great software.
    2. I don't have to purchase or maintain virus software every year.
    3. Free OS software upgrades.
    4. The product support is #1.
    5. Quality is #1
    6. Resale value is higher.
    7. Apple products require much less upkeep and support.
    8. The most user friendly operating system.

  • Why This King Of Market Cap Is A Buy  [View article]
I love XOM, but I have to differ on upgrading tech. Every two years I upgrade my iphone for 199.00 and sell my older phone on E-Bay for 295.00 and pocket the difference. I really enjoy the improvements of lighter, faster, smaller and of having a much better camera (1080p HD video) and 4 times the speed.

  • Apple Has No Choice But To Make A Larger iPhone  [View article]
My wife and I use the iphone for web browsing all of the time when we are not at a desk or sitting on the sofa next to a laptop or ipad. I love my Iphone 5, but would rather have the option for a 4.8" screen. Price does not matter to me.

  • Samsung (SSNLF.PK) has made corporate sales a "top three priority" for its mobile-phone unit, but while it has a 16% market share vs 50% for Apple (AAPL) and 10% for BlackBerry (BBRY), security concerns exist given Samsung's use of Android. To help overcome those fears, Samsung has teamed up with GD (GD) to get Pentagon approval, while it's also poached execs from rivals and mobile-security companies.  [View news story]

  • A 5th-gen regular iPad (AAPL) will launch in October and feature "virtually no left or right bezels, and only enough space above and below the screen" to allow for a camera and home button, says iLounge, which has passed on accurate iRumors in the past. The info is generally in-line with a recent report from KGI Securities. iLounge also claims Apple is planning to launch an iPhone 5S sporting an improved camera this summer, and is developing a cheaper, plastic-bodied iPhone "with China Mobile in mind." An iPhone with a 4.7" display is said to be in "early prototyping stages."  [View news story]
I like the supersize iphone option.....Apple should offer more iphone choices.....why give up any market share to samsung.

  • Apple (AAPL +3.1%) has bounced to $546 with the help of positive analyst commentary. While Morgan Stanley talks up potential iTV interest, JPMorgan is raising its forecast for Q4 AT&T (T) iPhone activations to 8M from 7M. Also, ISI's Brian Marshall is expecting a strong Chinese iPhone 5 launch - China Unicom (CHU) just announced its pre-orders have topped 300K. (Apple Monitor[View news story]

  • "We’ve been completely blown away by the customer response" to the iPhone 5, says an Apple (AAPL +1.2%) spokeswoman. The strong early demand has already been enough for two of Apple's biggest sell-side fans to sing its praises again. Topeka's Brian White now thinks his projections for 10M-12M FQ4 iPhone 5 sales could be conservative. Piper's Gene Munster predicts the phone's feel and build will take consumers by surprise, and notes its social media buzz has been very strong.  [View news story]
The old saying is get what you pay for.......if your on a PC's and Android phones will do the job. For me, I would much rather spend the extra money and go with a product that is best of class. I want something that is low maintenance, the highest quality and very user friendly. At work we switched over to iMac's and I love it that it that they just work year after year like the day we purchased them. And Apple customer support is outstanding...second to none. Their is a reason you almost never see someone switching from a Mac to PC. When you look at resale value, hardware, the pre installed software and the annual cost of virus software, I really don't see much cost advantage to buying a PC

  • Can Apple Gain A Better Foothold In The Corporate World?  [View article]
Having been using Apple products at home for years, I found it frustrating to have to use windows products at the office. The company I worked for always insisted on Wintel. Finally, after a few years, I reached my frustration limit and we switched over to a all iMac environment. Much less headache and more productive. We work in the aviation field and I needed computers that were reliable. The iMacs are great and are here to stay. We have a nice shiny iMac in our lobby. It adds much more elegance than the plain jane windows machine it replaced.

  • President Obama's $450B jobs plan may wind up pushing us into recession rather than pulling us out, says John Carney. Following his logic, the crux of the plan is to have government spend more and tax less. However, if people fear increased government spending will result in higher taxes, they may wind up saving more than the government spends, in anticipation of the taxes - which could lead to economic contraction.   [View news story]
A real jobs plan would be to allow increased domestic energy production, reign in the EPA and cut government red tape. But that will never happen with the Democrats.....they are the party of big government and tax and spend.

  • September Will Likely Be Bad and May Affect These Undervalued Stocks  [View article]
Under taxation. Yes I agree, the bottom 50% pay no federal income taxes. They should not get a free ride paid for by the rest of us. We have become a nanny state where too may folks want someone else to pay for thier food, college, government and countless other government programs funded by someone else's sweat. Obama and a "D"congress will have doubled the national debt from 2006 thru 2012. Liberal big government big spending policys of the last 45 years is the reason we are in trouble and facing a 20 Trillion debt.
