  • Is Halliburton Stock Worth Considering Right Now? [View article]
I agree but I think from 51-54 it will retrace before going higher. Will consider reenter but a 25 % return can be left on the table

That's all well and good but your ethics are of no concerns to the rest of the investing public. I don't mean to offend but when I invest I am looking for ROI not a sermon.

  • Wait To Buy Halliburton - Oil Prices May Not Rebound Until 2017 [View article]
The Saudi's can produce oil cheaply but their country depends on oil prices being much higher and as such are burning cash at high rates to maintain current standard of living for it's economy. So while low cost production is one key it's not the only one.

Roll range for HAL is 39 to 44. This is my second roll on the stock. Could be a rolling stock for most of the summer.

  • Coal stocks could be near a bottom, J.P. Morgan team says [View news story]
I agree that coal has bottomed but I think ACI has a plan in place to effectively manage it's debt until after 2016 which is key for investors. Soft global demand has been a problem but of equal weight has been the EPA and the BO admin. which has in in for fossil fuels in general and specifically for coal. But given the fact that coal still produces 40% of the electricity for the national power grid I think it will survive.

Have started buying HAL average cost 39.20 share. I will continue to buy in blocks until I have my full position. I predict HAL in the next 12 - 18 months back in the 60-65 range. To me this is much safer than investing in the overvalued stocks in other areas of the market.

  • Obama reportedly set to introduce plan to cut methane emissions [View news story]
Current administration and it's EPS is a dead horse. Lamb duck presidency and less that two years to go with less funding for the EPA will kill these initiatives. Coal still produces 39% of the energy in this country and will rise once a republican is elected to the white house. And historically when one party has held the WH for two consecutive terms they don't see a third. America needs coal to power this country or it's going back to the days of Tiny Tim.
