    Thanks for the very good article on COP. I have been committed to this stock for almost a year and am quite confused on the lack of interest by the investment community recently - especially with the action on PSX and PSXP. I agree that COP must be a Buy at these levels.

    Michael, let me see of I have gotten this right: the value and income of my PSX stock ownership goes down after the new spinoff - but Phillips receives some unknown amount of dividends from the new MLP and this should make me happy. What exactly am I missing here? Do you think I could give back the promises from Phillips and have the new stock instead ? Thanks for your efforts but I wish your first assumptions had been correct.
