  • Alternative Energy Storage Stocks: Review and Outlook [View article]
I'm rooting for axpw, as well as beacon, abat and altair and on and on.

It would be virtually impossible for all of them enmass to make the kind of changes to our needs that I can see occurring within the next 3 years. But everything will help. What is not economically feasible now, might be 18 months from now. So Now would be a better place to start. IMO

Altair has already received a naval contract for UPS type battery development for destroyers.

John, you know my preferences, ALTI and ABAT, but I still continue to follow AXPW on a technical basis for you.

For every study that is for a specific path, another study can be found negating it. When one has found a position that they will defend regardless, it is pointless to continue since it will never end. (round hole, square peg)

But both of your positions are informative within their own scopes. So I cannot help but agree with John: It looks like you all have been having since I was last here.

    Please continue, I need ammo.

Good Article. But please remember that most employment comes from the small business sector. So small businesses should be a Top Priority. IMO

hey John, I see you are up bright and early. What if Obama decides to offset whatever Opec we import from unfriendly nations by releasing oil from the Oil reserve, Internally of course, to our refiners until the economy picks up. Say 2-3 million brls a day for the next 8 months after he takes office.

What will that scenario do to your $70 oil and prospects for your stocks?

Obama opposed adding oil to the Reserve, he might like to keep prices low as an aid to the Middle class.

Just a query, no particular reason for it.

  • Alternative Energy Storage: It's All About Price vs. Performance [View article]
The world is experiencing a slowdown at best and a growing possibly deep Recession at worst, So Far.

This translates into a drastic reduction in CO2 emmissions, involuntary but there nonetheless. This drastic reduction has already wreaked havoc across the US and I personally expect more of the same for the rest of the winter.

The 70's theories regarding the Coming Ice Age are as plausible as are current Global Warming theories.

Eliminate Greenhouse Gases, yippi ki ay, the end result would be an Ice Ball devoid of life.

Whatever is done has to be done uniformally across the Globe, efforts should be coordinated. Each nation going its own merry way could affect the weather around the planet, especially when dealing with nations the size of China and India.

The Movie, The Day After Tommorow shows a mammoth frozen in the process of eating. This is real, one was actually found in this state.

Whatever is done has to be done slowly. IMO

Other countries will go all electric, ours has too many jobs tied to the present auto manufacturing configuration to be approved.

Too many companies to chose from. Great technologies waiting for an opportunity to be implemented.

Take the GM Zolt which only the rich will be able to afford. By the time it comes to market, Toyota will have its next Generation Prius rolling out. Solar Panels built into the roof to provide additional electricity for all of the unnecessary bells and whistles currently in fashion.

I don't know who will win or who will lose. I would like to get in at the very bottom and sell at the very top but I know it isn't going to happen. So I'm willing to wait for the next winner to manifest itself by going up because of a big contract. And if I miss the first 50% or 100% of the upside, so what. At least, I will not be locking money up waiting for a undefined period of time.

PZD is a Solar ETF. I know of ETFs dealing with Alt. Energy but I don't think there will be any in the storage area for some time. Lots of players but Most pure plays are sub $5.00 and not ETF material.

Since when is NG not oil? And when did we stop importing it? Besides, why bother with worries about CO2 when using NG will increase its output at the same time as it destroys the rest of the ethanol complex which has no role in the CNG vehicle.

Better take delivery of the certificate, thats the only way you can keep any of it once its gone. After that its one on one against profits or $3k worth of reduction annually. But you still have the certificate. I still have some TWA warrant certificates from the 1970's.

Display Port technology on the way for your laptop, External powerful Graphics by AMD for CAD on your laptop or the latest games, whichever.

    Already announced, yadda yadda.

I don't know what it brings to AMD for its future, but believe Intel has a challenge here.

Finally found your comment on AXPW's lead content, back in August you said that they had managed to reduce the amount of lead by 40%. Any change from that level, that you know of?
