  • James Turk on Gold and Silver (Part II)  [View article]
If I read Turk's explanation correctly a member can only transfer gold to or receive gold from another member. that's very limiting to the user of gold to pay a bill unless millions of accounts exist. How many accounts are there now?

As to CEF, it sells sat a premium most of the time. When it's zero or negative BUY and then get a booster gain when it goes positive again.

  • Uranium Investing: The Chinese Are Coming [View article]
Perhaps it would be more "protective" to invest in the industry via ETFs such as NLR or the new PKN. Advice gratefully accepted.

Ok Dr Shostak, great explanation of "power" beyond the control of us little guys. Please tell us powerless ones how best to protect what we have worked for and saved over many years.

  • IAU: Can Spot Gold Continue Its Tear? [View article]
How do we know for sure that IAU, SLV, GLD, CEF and other precious metal ETFs are in possession of actual metal rather than someone elses promissory paper? There is a great opportunity to just hold paper and use our invesrted money in some other risky scheme.

  • iShares Silver Trust: A Potentially Risky Market Hedge [View article]
Ah, but how sure are you that Morgan-Chase has stored actual metal and is not instead storing paoper promises of ownership? What independent party counts the real metal and how often? When it comes to money and precious metals trust no one esp financial organizations that deal in make believe substitutes. Think like sub-prime paper!

  • Gold ETFs Cut Down On Physical Metal Trade [View article]
Ah, but do GLD and IAU (and SLV) have actual metal in their possession or just some paper promising them that amounts of metal have been assigned to them? Or, who at the ETF counts the physical metal to assure the investors really have direct ownership and acess rather than some one elses promise that it exists? Seems like we may be buying paper and not physical metal -would make existing above ground supply look larger than reality.

  • Where is the North American Natural Gas Market Headed? [View article]
Ah yes, gas from shale depletes quickly. But not so for coal bed methane. It is present at many times greater amounts disolved in the coal, releases slower and actually increases its release rate as the well ages.

Re:EAC. If its worth today's $29 then HOGC (coalbed methane) should go for 3 times its current $10. One of them is over priced or under priced!
