  • Brazil's Rousseff says Petrobras critics distort facts [View news story]
The woman believes she have complete control of a once thriving business. She has proven to the world how she can personally destroy the intrinsent business enterprise of free market capitalism and make business fall down to her knees. Then she tells the world investors just don't understand it? Get real.

  • UBS takeaways from Petrobras meeting: Gas price hike, no new debt [View news story]
PBR will be better off if Brazil votes out the present administration. The government is bad for business and private enterprise. She is milking business for her own socialistic reasons. The stock prices prove it.

  • TransCanada makes final appeal for Keystone as political implications abound [View news story]
Keystone is the gift of the century, and we won't have to sacrifice our kid's lives or spend billions of dollars on the military to protect it. If the Obama administration is really stupid enough to block the jewel, then the Chinese will be more than willing to buy the oil and we won't become energy independent.

  • Consider Vale On Increased Demand Of High-Grade Iron Ore [View article]
In order for VALE and PBR to become attractive again, Brazil needs to vote out the entire administration of their socialist government. Only then would I personally gain confidence in VALE, PBR or any other Brazilian stocks.

  • Statoil successfully tests Tanzania well [View news story]
Now I'm beginning to pat myself on the back for holding onto my STO shares. I wish the Norwegian government would divest themselves of more shares and allow this company to become a part of free market capitalism. I really think the shares would move as high as the sixties if this were to happen.

  • Seadrill's Dividend Is Too Risky [View article]
I've taken some of SDRL off the table, but am holding onto most of my shares. This has been a great stock.

  • Chesapeake Energy: Buy The Dip [View article]
I've been holding this stock so long that it seems to be marching in step with no forward motion. I keep wondering if this stock will ever move forward. Sooner or later, it has to either inch forwards or backwards, and then I'll either add to it, or just dump it. But for now, this stock has earned the label of SLOW MOTION.

  • Keystone XL foes mount new challenge by linking it to Enbridge project [View news story]
I don't know why the unions don't begin raising cane about this idiotic move by our Obama tree huggers. I suppose the unions might be afraid they will lose a friend in the White House.

  • Statoil upgraded to Buy at Deutsche Bank, but shares slip [View news story]
STO always seems to disappoint in the way the share price under performs. I think it is because investors don't like the Norwegian government owning such a large share of the company and the way this company has to pay such enormous taxes. The company itself seems to be innovative and well run, but the business structure goes against the grain of most investors.

  • BP: What's The Catch? [View article]
Investors for the long term should consider nibbling on BP now. It pays a good dividend and this litigation can't continue on forever. Buy is a lock it up and I believe BP will be a winner for patient investors. I'm holding mine because I think sooner or later, this major oil company is a survivor.

  • Now Is The Time To Buy Petrobas [View article]
I've been an investor since 1975 when I put some money into a stock known as Debeer Diamonds. I've never been out of the market since 1975 and I was able to retire from teaching at age 53 due to my investments.
