Apple's Samsung Problem Can't Be Solved [View article]
You seem to be the first negative on AAPL poster I have seen, unfortunately you seem to miss that fact that none of these so-called advances are game changers. AAPL will continue to innovate and Slamsung will continue to follow, never a leader even in the TV market. You can trust that. After the run up AAPL took what did we expect. Well one thing is a more indepth analysis from SA authors than this one... Are you listening Slamsung? Get your wallet out and be ready, more than likely to pay big time for patent infringements!
The Network Effect: Why Apple's iOS Will Win The Platform War Over Google's Android [View article]
Go ahead and dispute the analytics, Look at the Beta, VHS war, or the Blue Ray dominance, it's all about what programming/entertainment is available. The process of overcoming the current imbalance of users in the "cheaper" sorry inexpensive, never mind, I did mean to say cheaper, of Android format is going to take time but programming and attrition of developers to I-phone format is inevitable given the current trends.
Then there will be the impact of BB 10 sucking off support of developers and carriers from Android.... read between the lines...and there is your answer, Google will need to adjust accordingly... there will lie the battle!
Apple's Rally Is The Child Of A Deluded Wall Street [View article]
I totally agree with Ruchemykol, What has AMZN returned that even closely resemble the profits of AAPL. Bezos has been able to keep it afloat using just hot air... now AAPL uses Wall Street tradition tools like a buyback coupled with a rising dividend, something investors can sink their teeth in and what does your analysis portend... another negative AAPL article. Dear SA, I hope that you didn't pay someone to Juggle on this one.
"We believe that Apple (AAPL) will launch the iPhone 5S at China Mobile (CHL) this July, as it launches the next iteration of the iPhone globally," writes Wedge Partners' Brian Blair, without elaborating on his sources. The remarks come a little less than 3 months after Apple and China Mobile signed a confidentiality agreement. Blair sees a 5S model supporting China Mobile's TD-SCDMA 3G network likely entering production in May. (WSJ report) [View news story]
I personally am not judging what AAPL is set to release. I trust that TC's boys will make a big splash, and do it right. We will be rewarded as share holders and AAPL will continue to lead the industry, with all others following.
Hey davel, I bet Jeff Bezos will be begging for some of those profits once the bloom of AMZN wears off. APPL is here to stay profitable. Now that Samsung owes AAPL over a billion dollars for copyright infringement, they will need to review their product offerings and pricing, just to break even. WS likes to live on promises not necessarily results. Me? Very long AAPL, since 2006 and holding!
A little more on Deutsche/Apple: The firm notes Japanese analyst Yasuo Nakane has long been cautious about FQ2 (March quarter) iPhone builds, and thinks the consensus for FQ2 iPhone sales has fallen to around 37M. The U.S. team thinks Nakane's estimates (45M builds in FQ1, 28M-30M in FQ2) implies upside to his FQ1 sales forecast, and downside to his FQ2 forecast. Meanwhile, his forecast for 17M-19M FQ2 iPad builds implies upside to an FQ2 forecast for sales of 15M. [View news story]
Old Chinese Proverb say: AAPL leads by example critics have nothing to talk about, wait til January 23 and let's see who is talking then. In the mean time buy while it's low!

cs, Do you know what is not in the pipeline for AAPL? Or are you trying to give your negative spin on AAPL? They don't talk much but have carried somewhat of a large stick up.
The DoD will place an order for 650K iOS (AAPL) devices - 210K iPhones, 120K iPads, 100K iPad Minis, and 200K iPod touches - following the end of the sequester, Electronista reports. The iOS gear will reportedly be used to replace BlackBerrys (BBRY) - the DoD currently has 470K in operation - and would come ahead of the planned implementation of a "platform agnostic" device policy in Feb. 2014. Electronista previously reported the DoD had largely ended BB10 testing due to budget cuts. [View news story]
1000000 order into channel. If it doesn't sell through, it all comes back. Government buys on contract. Big diff. Besides even without this order, AAPLs numbers are still bigger and getting bigger than BBRY. With the order from DoD, the numbers in $$$$s is higher for AAPL, do the math, dolt!

And maybe the first clue as to this was when TC was invited to sit in M Obama's box during the State of the Union... Oh yes, I've been saving that one for awhile. Actually I had forgotten til just now.

tong, Sure, wait til shareholders want to see earning and the Fantasy ends. Then Bezos will have to put on a big show. I think he can do it if he has too. Meanwhile the profitable TC at AAPL will be on the way to a very profitable business... then who willl be very risky? You talk like a dotbomb analyst, that is exactly the reasoning that gave us the crash of 2000!
Apple (AAPL): FQ2 EPS of $10.09 beats by $0.02. Revenue of $43.6B (+11% Y/Y) beats by $1.1B. 37.4M iPhones, 19.5M iPads, just under 4M Macs. Expects FQ3 revenue of $33.5B-$35.5B, below $39.3B consensus. Buyback increased by $50B. Shares halted. CC at 5PM ET (webcast). (PR) [View news story]

And on the Ipad side thibaud, I agree, all the new products coming from AAPL, how long will it take the Android boys to mimic AAPL. Always like being with the crowd that is out front instead of always trying to catch up...I too like looking through the rear-view mirror at Android. I especially like what the Oracle of Omaha said about the Birkshire B shares tanking every so often, only to come back. So goes the market....

I am going with this analysis of GRJ now. Bezos is doing a great job of hyping AMZN and AAPL now has a leader in TC who will eventually show the market real winner looks like. Much is still in the pipeline for AAPL, not to mention a cash reserve that is growing.

satv, I hold both AAPL and BBRY and have no, repeat no illusion that the BB-10 in any way shape or form will survive in the state it is in now to dominate the mobile phone arena... provide your bio now, it might provide some insight into your thought process. Otherwise one might assume your portfolio is over weighted BBRY.
