    C_Man,

"Do you think companies would have taken the licenses if they weren't going to carry on using BES 10 or 12? They know the future cost and have probably matched it with the supreme quality of security they will receive from Blackberry."

Your reasoning here is nothing but self fulfilling logic. The whole point behind the free licencing of BES 10 is to offer a trial of the system. Until I see some real meaningful numbers from BBRY on an earnings report, I would be inclined to shy away from JC and his smoke and mirrors!

The partnership with Samsung is just that, and I do not see any real value in it.

    Crispin,

    " the train is rolling."

Just make sure the train is not rolling backwards, like it was today.

Buh, buh, Bye, montecristo10001 keep digging that tunnel to no where! BBRY is down AGAIN on early trading. Can't understand the excitement over yesterday's announcement. BBRY Bulls are promoting the "partnership" on this thread while trashing the IBM/APPL partnership on other threads.

    Long both names

So Barantos, AAPL at 48 in one year? Is there another split coming up? Oh you dreamer! I plan on funding my retirement with the gains from the January ER, not to mention all the news coming up at the end of November. Sorry Charlie, only the best Tuna can be Starkist!

Actually didn't the Chinese government refuse to fund subsidy programs for the Chinese phone companies? They are attempting to promote local growth over Western companies like AAPL, why not the same thing with BBRY? It will be interesting to see if Mr. Blair's Market Share Charade plays out for BBRY. Obviously BBRY needs to grow market share to gain their profitable ways.

@ MPF, your link goes to: "Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. Please search for NTP, Inc in Wikipedia to check for alternative titles or spellings."

I would love to read the article, sounds like it is back to the drawing board for you. Please, make sure the link works b4 ragging on others.

FYI I am not going to log in or create an account, just to read this would be article.

    SMDB,

Good, then it's not just me. Sounds like Manfredthree's comment: " Many more to come. Bigger inst allocations will not be a short story" was just that a very short story.

    Manfredthree,

CIBC World Markets, had never heard of this company before, figures, it's CANADIAN Imperial Bank of Commerce. Good for BBRY can you post a link? Were they big holdings? That is a start for JC, need many more to reach all time highs like AAPL, which seems to happen almost every day now.

"With this rationale...Microsoft should have disappeared as PC manufacturers produced their own software. Just plain...Silly."

OK, I'll bite, what is this in reference to? The author? This comment makes no sense, guess it was tongue in cheek! Has't MSFT come out and say they are planning on offering MDM in Windows Office 365? How does that help also-ran BBRY?

    Diigencia,

"Did Chen ever say anything about sorting, storing or analyzing data from IoT devices? Or was it that BlackBerry will have a unique opportunity to facilitate the secure transmission of data from IoT devices?"

You are speaking of the same BBRY/RIM that dropped of everyone's radar as a valued investment in 2009? How can BBRY now just jump right back into the fray in a new role and be trusted to stay? IMO it will take a lot longer than a couple of years of JC, a lot longer!

  • BlackBerry: How Many Passport Smartphones Has BlackBerry Actually Sold? [View article]
    mikebator,

"iOS is there now, are they ready for the next revolution of IoT? Security is huge part of this equation and iHack, iNude etc. is just not going to cut it.

    We'll talk in say 2017."

Why say 2017? What about all the great stuff happening with AAPL today? Oh yeah, you don't want to talk about each day that AAPL sp reaches an all time high, like today. Although I watched JC's CNBC interview today, at no point did he highlight security, mostly what I expected him to pitch, which was that the plug is still loose on the BBRY pail of money and he needs to replenish it before the level of cash goes any lower & BES 12. Too bad about the Microsoft security announcement. Sounds like it will be bundled with Window 365.

And now you want to try to fight the AAPL juggernaut too? Good luck on that!
