  • Accusing Transocean (RIG -2.8%) of "willful misconduct," the Justice Department asks the New Orleans district court to deny the oil drilling contractor's request to protect itself against civil penalties stemming from last year's Gulf of Mexico spill. The move suggests the U.S. government will seek the maximum possible penalties against RIG and possibly against BP.  [View news story]
All we can do is try to vote the b_____ds out. What this country needs is a good energy policy and get the socialists out of the government.

  • Item #1: The U.S. will allow oil sales from rebel-held territory in Libya. Item #2: Elements of al Qaeda and Hezbollah are known to be parts of the Libyan opposition. Add the items together and it sounds like the U.S. has gone from funding Gaddafi to helping fund the notorious terrorist groups?  [View news story]

  • T. Boone Pickens' Extremely Bullish Energy Bets [View article]
I think most of Obama's people are from Chicago or other large cities that have public transportation. They would probably be happy if we never drilled for oil again. Obama is always talking about getting jobs for people, but its his doings that are causing so many job losses around the Gulf of Mexico. I know its a mess down there, but accidents happen and could happen again if the workers are not careful. There is a lot of oil there that needs to be got. We need someone like mr. Pickens that knows the oil business to head the energy dept. He is a old OSU alumnus. Go Cowboys!

I think some of you have been a little rough on bro. Fitzsimmons, I think that he mean't well and had so good ideas. I live in Oklahoma and there has been quiet a bit of nat. gas drilling going on here and has been sucessful. I remember reading in the wsj some time ago that you could order a new Honda that would burn nat. gas. I have seen some used pickups on Craigs List offered for sale. I think those converson kits would get cheaper if there was more demand. I think as well as some of you that they should open the Gulf of Mexico back up for deep water drilling. Accidents happen and they will happen again, we are not a perfect people. They could put a lot of people back to work. Thanks for listening. Abram.

  • Why I'm Betting Cisco Will Rise Above $22/Share Soon [View article]
I am an old coot, been in and out of the market since 1979,won some and lost some. I started out with E.F.Hutton and to poney up $10.000 to open an account. The commissions would eat your lunch back then,so when the discounters started,it was nice. I bought a few shares of Cisco about the middle of November for $19.48,so we should make a few bucks off it. Thanks for listening.
