    Your comparison table should have used other names where a large well capitalized parent has segregated its midstream operation into a separate entity. Western Gas comes to mind as a good example. There's a decided advantage to have a parent with multiple drop down assets rather than having to compete for midstream opportunities on the open market. Also EQM starts out debt free and can fund future growth very cheaply.

    I don't have any opinion on how many defaults may be in the cards but it should be noted that Whitney did not expect the problems to occur until after the budget season ends. I think June was the critical month.

    Energy Transfer Equity has not raised it's distribution in 2010, and a very modest bump in 2009. As a shareholder myself, I hope the new completed projects and capital spending budget will get them back on track but 15% sounds aggressive.

    AHD was involved in the ATLS/CVX merger last month. ATLS shareholders got $5.50 worth of AHD totaling 17.8 million shares as part of the deal. I suspect most of the short interest reported will be eliminated in next month's report when the arbitrage community delivers AHD shares to flatten their positions. AHD now has over 50 million shares outstanding.

    I think Chubb (CB) is worthy of consideration. 45 years of dividend increases. Most recent dividend was increased 5.7% to .37 cents. Yield is now just under 3%.
