PhD in Computational Physics. Developing new models for stock trading (focusing on long SVXY). Predicting future accurately enough for trading purposes is surprisingly difficult... :)
Contrarian investment philosophy. I am in particular interested in undervalued technology stocks with multiple x upside potential and limited downside risk.
I am currently long $MSFT, $LNVGY, $INTC, $CRAY, $VRNG, $OCAT, $F, $TLT, $ALU and $NOK. $NOK (and now $ALU) are still the largest position in my portfolio, although I sold 70% of my $NOK position since the Devices and Services deal with Microsoft was announced. $NOK/ALU, and $TLT are currently my largest individual stock/ETF positions.
I also swing trade inverse volatility (long $SVXY) depending on market trends. I do not touch $VIX or other direct volatility products under any circumstances.

Done with this blog site which is becoming more like investors hub and Yahoo! message groups. Now I know why good people leave SA. Some dumb editor tries to censor fair discussion because some whiner like Kevin Porter (or one of his minions) reports them as abusive. Meanwhile he does the same thing and others in his "tribe" diss commentor Marpha by calling him Marsha. Yet these comments are not removed or censored. Censorship destroys a lot of good blog sites and Seeking Alpha is well on its way to that state.
While investing in nokia I got interested in Vringo because they bought 500 patents from nokia. Since nokia took off I started trading vrng instead and so far I have noticed the stock trades with a $2.70 to $3.50 range. perfect for selling puts and calls.
I am a technology lover. Love buying gadgets to try out. The best thing so far that I bought was the HP touchpad on fire sale. Tried out Webos and then put android on it. I like apple products from iphone to ipad to apple tvs. I also owned the Samsung Focus wp7 phone but got bored waiting for Mango update to come out. I am currently waiting for Nokia to come out with a lumia phone with Wp8. When the Surface comes out i will give it a try also.
I got the 920 and now own the 1020 and I recently gotten a refurb surface RT with type cover for $199 of ebay , a refurb but with 1 year warranty ....
Now I am waiting for my last lumia from nokia the quad core phablet called 1520!
with the recent msft nokia deal, I seem to have lost interest in windows phone. I am now waiting for the iphone 6 to come out, if that has a bigger screen I will upgrade to it. the lumia 1020 will be my last windows phone for a while.
as a investor I enter positions using secured puts, and when assigned, sell covered calls
Building wealth intelligently and patiently is the most logical and tested route to financial independence.
That is my plan and so far, so good!

Tales From The Future (tftf). I picked my nickname because many advisors and investors claim they can predict the future of the (stock) markets and somehow pick the winners. I don't. I usually do not engage in short-term trading and myopic analysis (quarter by quarter, without looking at the big picture). I like to work with long-term scenarios with a focus on possible disruptions in the technology and energy sectors. I look into value and contrarian ideas as well as emerging technologies and growth stocks worldwide, both on the long and short side. I also like to discuss the influence of monetary policy on global stock markets. I am fiercely independent in my investment research and therefore use the image of a lone Ninja. This influenced my investment principles for the past 20+ years: Pick your targets with patience. Do your OWN diligence. Never follow the herd blindly: 'Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.' General Sector Focus: Technology/Internet, Value, Disruptors, Energy/Alt Energy, Entertainment Stocks and Monetary Policy/Geopolitics. Geographical Focus: USA, Western Europe, Japan. Sector 'Halo' Focus Stocks: AAPL, TSLA... PS: Not a native English speaker. I apologize in advance for any typos and grammatical errors.

Other technical analyzes will fool you and steal your money, just use them to get an answer to what others believe and why they always lose money

I marvel at the clarity of wisdom:
“The time has come of self-value. And the question is not: ‘To be or not to be;’ the statement is: ‘To be to be. I am, I am.’ The time has come not to search for God, but to be G.O.D.” ~Yogi Bhajan
World markets will crash during 2013-2016. Sorry to be the one to tell it to you.
2013-02-20: My best shorting advice is to short the Swedish bank Swedbank, with a trailing pe ratio of 20 for the last 5 years, almost the double compared to other banks in Sweden like Nordea (trailing pe 10 last five years). Housebubble will burst even in North of Europé. Have not happend yet.
