  • Is BlackBerry On The Cusp Of A Turnaround? [View article]
I believe BBRY has short term challenge in USA as they have been unable to get USA Carrier support. I don't trust ATT and Verizon with recent announcement for classic. BBRY has to succeed in govt/business with BES12, in order to improve their revenues and profits; it will take 2-3 quarters. I believe US market will continue to manipulate the stock (short term) by forecasting higher Revenues which BBRY may not be able to hit. LONG BBRY.

  • BlackBerry Finally Takes E-Commerce Seriously, Hardware Looking Bullish [View article]
I like JC strategy to turn around BB. I believe we will start to see good progress 2nd or 3rd Q of FY 2015. The progress will be slow but study as BES12 is rolled out by governments and corporations over next few years. I believe, the full benefits of Passport, Classic, etc. will only be realised after BES12 roll out. (Long BB).

Agree! In addition, it doesn't make business sense now that BB is coming around and making good progress on JC's strategy including Enterprise market

  • John Chen Is Happy You Can't Buy A BlackBerry Passport, Covets China [View article]
It seems to me that john's strategy short term is to rely on sales of new devices and software and services such as blend to make bb profitable. These devices along with software and services differentiate bb from other players in the space. I suspect bb will offer software and services (blend) only through bb devices which will increase the demand for bb devices. I believe part of the strategy is sell devices in large markets like India and China. This short term strategy will keep them afloat while they build enterprise business around Internet of things.

  • A Mixed Bag Of Goodies: A View Of BlackBerry In China, Amongst Analysts, And More [View article]
Thank you Author! This is one of the best and well balanced analysis on BBRY I have seen in a while.

I believe the success of product like Blend will make BBRY profitable. I am not certain if this will help BBRY penetrate US market given Apple Hardware market share (iphone, iPad) and other US companies. I believe BBRY will succeed in regulated industries and govt even in US. I love JC strategy so far.

    I am LONG BBRY!

  • The Impact Of BlackBerry Passport [View article]
In my humble opinion, BBRY can show profit next quarter IF BLEND SUCCEEDS.

  • Update: BlackBerry Earnings - Our Bull Case Has Been Augmented [View article]
To me it is not about hardware. I am impressed with Blend. I my opinion, Blend has the potential to finally provide secured email and communication to individuals and corporate employees.

I am not sure what is required (BES?) other then Passport to use Blend.

  • Can The Expected Growth Justify Voxeljet's High Valuation? [View article]
I really like vJET and their strategy but believe there is downside short term. Their margin will take a hit due to expansion of facility in Germany and new facility in Detroit, MI. I believe their losses will increase in Q3. I would consider buying after Q3 results.

  • Why The BlackBerry Passport Launch Is A Big Deal [View article]
I am long on BBRY. I hope BBRY announce something related to BES 12 in North American in light of recent security issues (e.g. target, Home Depot). I will be disappointed if this event is just about hardware.

  • BlackBerry Smoke Over Waterloo Ontario [View article]
George, a very thought provoking article!

I believe Samsung has lot to gain on consumer/business/govt. side. I am sure google would not allow that to happen as there is too much at stake. Samsung's best hope is to partner with another company to buy bb.

I see this to be a big battle between google and Samsung. The other company that makes sense to me would be msft who has great presence in corporate/govt and is struggling in mobile space.

If I was on BOD, offer from one of these companies would be only acceptable.

  • BlackBerry-Eroding What's Left Of Shareholder Value [View instapost]
Kurt, I believe BBRY management had no choice but to strike a deal with PW. Without this deal, BBRY would have gone under given the bad Q2 results and constant pressure from US to bring the company and stock down.

I am of the opinion that there is conspiracy to bring BBRY down so that US company can buy it or eliminate it as a competition. I believe this deal gives BBRY chance to survive.

  • Assessing The Fallout From The BlackBerry Disaster [View article]
I believe BBRY management choice was to GIVE IT AWAY to PW or go down. I am disappointed that there was no other offer.

For the first time, I am thinking selling my shares now instead of waiting for privacy deal or any other deal. I guess I will take $2/share profit while I can.
