  • BlackBerry Passport Is No Apple iPhone Killer [View article]
Kofi's articles make the frothers froth even more. So I click and enjoy.

  • Code Orange For Apple: Market Share Decline Is A Pounding Headache [View article]
This is yet another example on how being a Blackberry-believer bleeds into real life in strange and unexpected ways.

It's a lot like the rigid tenants of some fundamentalist dogma. To be accepted into the community, one has to accept it all.

At least cool bro Quoth displays the ability to be bullish on both.

  • Was Apple Spooked By The BlackBerry Passport? [View article]
The answer to the click-bait title is obviously no.

  • BlackBerry Showing First Signs Of Serious Revenue Growth [View article]
Wouldn't a lot of Z3 sales simply cannibalize other BB (particularly BB7) models? After all, recent sales are still a 50/50 mix with the old models.

I wouldn't quite consider this evidence of 'serious' revenue growth until it's actually evidence.

  • Now It's Really Time For Apple To Buy BlackBerry [View article]
I'm not so sure the IBM-Apple deal will have any material impact on Blackberry in the near or medium-term.

It's just speculation: speculation that will deflate the latest 50% upside move on nothing but speculation.

Meanwhile the core fundamentals of the Khaki-pants-from-Old-Navy company continues to deteriorate.

  • After Hour Gainers / Losers [View news story]
    @Fat

You could copy and paste Blackberry fan posts from 2007 to present and they would look identical.

You could even go back to the era of the Macintosh, and then the iMac, and then the iPod and get completely drowned in the same comment. It's a large subset of khaki-wearing individuals who misunderstand consumer goods.

  • BlackBerry Might Make It [View article]
Congratulations on your recent victory longs. 50% returns in a couple of months is absolutely amazing, and I imagine it feels wonderful.

In other news, it looks like companies with actual talent, ability and capitalization have decided that the area Blackberry allegedly dominates is worth looking into.

Again, a big congrats on your excellent gains.

  • BlackBerry And Amazon: This Could Be The Beginning Of A Beautiful Friendship [View article]
Since Mr. Chen is a master of the pump, I expect tomorrow's ER to be disastrous. Hence the Amazon announcement (which will ultimately have little to no effect on BB10 sell through) and the investor's meeting.

  • Earnings Preview: BlackBerry Q1 2015 [View article]
I see people are still circlejerking over the "more Blackberry sales than iPhones in Toronto" piece. If you can't understand why it's utter garbage then you shouldn't be responsible for your own investments.

"@ sf.. when did Chen say that BlackBerry would start to "turn a profit"?

What difference, at this point, does it make what you think?

Why are so many in the "BlackBerry Bash Media" calling this a "make or break quarter"?

This "android/apple media complex" and its co conspirators are really getting pathetic with these made up story lines... someone needs to inform them that they failed at killing BlackBerry...."

Impressively, you failed to address even one of sf's points and instead chose bloviation.

"is it me or do iTards appear to be getting testier and more malicious with their attacks? Just wondering..."

Do you not realize your own hypocrisy? Maybe I need to add more Freddy-style quotation marks for it to sink in.

"improving sales in BES installs and software adoption"

This hasn't been the case, though.

  • BlackBerry: Q1 May Herald The Beginning Of A Recovery [View article]
Mr. Blair wrote the exact same article a few quarters ago. I think he even included the same assumption for Z30 sales. Something that Blackberry has been able to do for the last few years is consistently under-perform even the worst estimates for revenue (let alone the optimistic ones like Mr. Blair's). Eventually this won't be the case, but probably not yet.

  • Taking BlackBerry's Stickers Seriously [View article]
Wait a sec...Blackberry nearly doubled its BBM user base, but the number of active users hardly budged?

Even the better parts of this terrible company are terrible.
