American Home Mortgage Investment Hit with Margin Calls

This company, Am. Home Mortgage, could only be in trouble because it had leveraged itself excessively and even in relatively small fraction of it's loan portfolio, the sub prime, could destroy it's collateral enough to bring it down. I just don't believe that there is an ususally large problem with the responsibly made home loans. By far most individuals who had a healthy down payment and some equity are not defaulting on their mortgages. The people that are circulating worries about that are playing on the public's fear and ignorance. Vic
